My first half is on Sunday. My last long run was supposed to be yesterday but since we were out of town I planned on doing it this morning and tapering the rest of the week. But I feel like crap, my throat hurts and I am congested. I can take some cold medicine and at least mask the symptoms, but should I run? My longest run was 10 last weekend. If I rest, will I be ready for this weekend?
I usually run 8 on the weekend before a half. If you don't feel good, don't push it. Trust your training, one missed run is not going to ruin your race, being really sick will:)
