Right now I have accounts at mapmyrun (which I use to plan routes), and Garmin Connect (which I use to track workouts). I also have a spreadsheet for tracking how many miles are on various pairs of running shoes. It's all getting a bit cumbersome. I originally stopped using mapmyrun to track training because it marked all uploaded workouts as "runs" and I couldn't change them to "bike" or whatever.
I started a free account at Training Peaks, which seems like it does most of what I use all 3 of the above for, in one place. The down side is that it is a lot less user friendly. Anyone use it? Like it? Have any other suggestions?
All of this is motivated by the fact that my Garmin is acting up and Running Warehouse is replacing it - but I have to send it back. Before I do I want to make sure the data on it is uploaded to whatever I am going to use going forward!
I use an app on my phone called My Training Log. It's free. It doesn't do anything fancy, like graph, but it does allow you make a list of your running shoes and select a shoe for each run so that it tallies up the miles. I like that feature a lot because it's very important information!
The shoe mileage counter on gumis app sounds awesome, though!
It looks like you can do that in training peaks - list different shoes under "equipment" and then update each workout (run) with the shoes you wore, so it tracks the miles/shoes. Seems way easier than my separate spreadsheet just for shoe miles (which I sometimes forget to update).

Ah hah! I've seen that a million times and never really thought about it. I'm very perceptive
