Kind of health related. Let me preface this by saying breastfeeding has been an uphill battle. I did rent a hospital pump and have been able to freeze some which I was so happy about. Well, little guy was just diagnosed with a dairy allergy. I don't care about cutting dairy out of my diet but I just realized I have to throw out my freezer stash I've worked so hard to get! Oh there were tears.., Anyone else with vents/ whines?
I'm so sorry. While I have never expressed anything from my boobs, I can imagine that this is extremely frustrating. From what I understand, a freezer stash is like liquid goal. I think anyone would be upset. Maybe showing us an updated pic of his handsome face would make you feel better. Hang in there, mama.
I had to cut dairy with my youngest. It SUCKED. I too, had a huge stash (I actually deal with oversupply) and had to trash it all as well. On the plus side, it made post partum weight loss easy. She also had trouble with soy and I felt like I was basically eating fruit, nuts and grilled chicken I am sorry you are going through this. How old is he? C outgrew hers by about 6 months.

He's 6 weeks. My husband had it as an infant until about a year old. We are supplementing with a non dairy formula and my diet is pretty heavy on nuts and fruit anyways so I think cutting out dairy won't be that bad. I want him to get at least some breastmilk so of course I'm going to try my hardest! I will miss my cheese...

Ugh, I'm sorry. My son was intolerant to both dairy and soy. Soy is in effing everything! You can do it though. If his symptoms don't clear up, try cutting out soy, too. The intolerances often go together. Also, be careful about very tiny amounts of dairy in food. I couldn't just cut out milk, cheese, and yogurt... I also couldn't eat things like bread that had small amounts of dairy in them. Some kids can't tolerate even tiny amounts. I hope you don't have to be that strict.

I'm really, really sorry you're having trouble with allergies. One of my good friends went through a really tough time BFing because her son was/is allergic to a lot of things; it sounded miserable. I hope he grows out of his allergies soon!
Oh no! I'm really sorry. I don't have kids and have never breastfed so I don't know what that's like, but I'm really sorry because it sounds like it sucks to throw it away. ((Hugs))
I'm sorry. BF'ing can be such a struggle, physically and emotionally, especially in the beginning. Throwing dietary restrictions into the mix doesn't help. I did not personally deal with this, but my thoughts are with you. I really hope he outgrows them! You're doing a great job, Mom!
I'm sorry! I had poor supply with my oldest and cried many tears over spilt pumped milk. My youngest has dairy/egg/nut allergies and it does get so much easier as they get older. You are definitely in the hard part now. Hang in there, and vent here anytime.
if it makes you feel any better, my niece and nephew both had dairy allergies as infants that they outgrew by 2 or so. except they were used to soy milk so they don't like cow milk now. it grosses them out. (unless it is chocolate)
I'm sorry that you're going through that. I had a pretty rough time with BFing. I never had a freezer stash of more than like one bottle worth and I often didn't have enough to send to daycare the next day - I would have to get up overnight to pump extra to have enough milk for the next day. Basically, it sucked and I cried about it a lot. It got more manageable about 3-4 months in, I forget how old your LO is, maybe it will get better for you. Hugs.
