Aurelia Robin is here!! She was born at 8:50 pm on November 19th. 7 lbs 9 oz and 20.5 inches. She is the sweetest little girl and I can't believe I get to keep her!
I love that she is sticking her tongue out at us in this pic
Labor took just under 12 hours from when I started receiving pitocin. Contractions hurt like hell in my back (found out a little later she was face up!) so I got an epidural about 1.5 hours after my doctor broke my water. After the epi, they brought in a yoga ball shaped like a peanut that was propped up between my legs to open up my hips so that my cervix would hopefully dilate. I was able to rest and nap for about 2 hours; when I woke up and got checked I'd progressed from 3cm to 10! Yay for the peanut!! Waited another hour for her to lower, half an hour later my doc arrived and pushed for 1.5 hours. I think if she wasn't face up I could've had her out a little sooner, she would get stuck under my pubic bone. Thankfully she managed to rotate on her own and out she came!
