I used one and liked it somewhat. It was interesting to see calorie burn over the whole day but it wasn't a magic key to weight loss or anything like that.
It was hard to keep focusing on the average picture of calories in/calories out when I had such tiny pieces of data. I found I'd quickly forget about the days I went over by 100/200 calories because I was under one or two days.
If I was to use it again, and this is assuming you want it for weight loss, I'd use it for about two weeks, average all the daily burns to get one average burn and use that number to estimate what you need to take in on a daily basis.

What Kat said.
I have one as well. I'll probably start using it again to get back down to my racing weight, but I'm just too tired to deal with it right now. It's very detailed, so good for picking apart your calorie burn/intake for those hard to lose, last few vanity pounds.

enfuego23 It's kind I like what the Garmin has done for running.
You get graphs and charts, and can zoom in on your calorie burn at any point in time. Add in step count, sleep time, etc., and it can get a little nutty if you're one to analyze things.
I used it, though I could never get the pedometer to sync up on mine. I wore the armband to see what my calorie burn was during the day, and I took it off and used my own HRM for exercise (I swim, so I couldn't wear it in the pool). I didn't really get all in to all the data - I just wanted to calorie burn numbers.
I ended up wearing it for a month and doing an average of what I burned. I was very happy with that, and plan to occasionally throw it on for a couple of weeks here and there to make sure I'm still on track.
I'm interested in this device too. Runblondie - what do you mean by it's very detailed?
Do you have to buy the Withings WS-50 Smart Body Analyzer with it?
I didn't have to buy anything with mine - everything you needed came in the package. And keep an eye open, with the holidays and New Year, they'll probably be popping up on groupon/etc.
