F: 11 miles S: 3 miles, core, beer. S: 16 miles w/the last 10 at what was supposed to be MP. OMG, we had constant 17mph winds w/gusts up to 25mph. Pacing was impossible. I did it, but I was all over the place & too fast (trying to push hard against the wind) ranging from 7:50-8:05. I worked too hard. Just glad it's done.
I'm beginning to think I'm crazy for doing a marathon, and that my race goal is too lofty :/
Give it another long run before you change things! Some are really tough and then some are so great! Hang in there!
Thank you. I actually maintained my goal pave range for 14 miles, but then I kinda crashed at the end...my legs were shot and I was trying not to shart myself, lol. Today just made me wonder how the heck I think I'm going to run substantially faster than that for almost 10 miles longer.
F: a well-earned rest day (in Kentucky! which was gorgeous!) S: 9 miles S: 18 miles with miles 9-16 actually below GMP - this might have been my best long run performance ever and I'm trying to ride the high because I think I'm starting to get a little burned out as I approach 6 months and counting of marathon training

Agree with kams. See how things go next week - marathon training is such a fucking roller coaster, physically and mentally and sometimes emotionally. I think you're going to be fine!

But you didn't shart!!! Success!!!
No, I totally get you. I'm pretty sure we all do. It sounds like you are in a perfectly normal training cycle . You're already close to the end! You can do this!
Fri: nothing Sat: 5 mile run, core work Sun: 50 minutes on my new spin bike! 45 min of P90X yoga (about as long as I can stand tony plus the baby woke up)
F: rest S:1 hr spin, 20 min core S: one mile warmup run with my dog, 5 miles solo (at a solid 9:02 pace, which used to be SO FAST for me and is finally becoming my new normal
A light w/e here too. F: 5.5 miles on the treadmill Sa: chisel class, Dazzle Dash (2m) with all 3 kids! Su: unplanned rest day. It was supposed to be my long run day, but I blew it off b/c I can I figure I should enjoy the next few weeks of no training plan.

Saturday was a recovery day on the schedule, and that included beer.
