That sounds about right. Itll be about the same for my 5 miler. Right now im thinking coldgear tights, long sleeves amd a layer of some sort, and my running hat (i hate running in gloves).
What you have planned sounds good. Will there be a lot of wind? If not a lot of wind, you may want to just do short sleeves under your jacket OR wear long sleeves and then a vest. Do you happen to have any smartwool socks?
I am a bit of a baby when it comes to cold weather, but I also HATE being too warm when I run too. Haha, I sound like a mess! I do really like wearing a fleece vest when I run though. It keeps my core warm enough while still allowing for a lot of ventilation.

That was the weather I had yesterday for my 10k, with 15-20 mph winds and sun. I wore fleece tights, a short sleeved base layer, and a fleece lined top. With a hat and fleece lined gloves. I was very comfortable, but my hands were numb until about mile 2. My only regret was not having hand warmers.

I think you'll be fine wearing the same thing you wore to Saturday's 5k. I'm planning to wear the same thing myself. Hopefully the sun will be out, so it will feel a little warmer.

I just did all that in the laundry on purpose!!
i be typing from me phone. typos and grammer dont count.
I'm planning on wearing tights (unlined), long sleeves, plus a zip up, gloves, and ear warmers. I think it is supposed to be the coldest day of the week, but DRY and sunny (which is huge)
I think you'll be fine with what you have listed. I would probably add in ear warmers because I have a charlie brown head and my earlobes always end up super cold

Unless it's supposed to be really windy, I would wear unlined tights. I'd also wear short sleeves under the jacket, but I tend to get really warm when I run.

I just ran a 2-mile yesterday - 19 degrees and no wind. My bottom half was perfect in lined UA tights, and I layered a lined long-sleeve with one of those thin long-sleeved Costco pull-overs for the extra sleeve-coverage all the way down to the thumb-holes.
Earwarmers and gloves were essentials. Also wore wool socks. Agree with shellfish26, despite gloves, my hands were the coldest part of my body.
Handwarmers in my gloves helped me a lot yesterday. It made all the difference. Something over your face might help too-breathing the cold air hurts. I used a $1 knitted headband from walmart and wore it like a cowl.
It was about 27 degrees during my run on Saturday. I had on a l/s compression shirt, full zip running top, lined tights, shorts, gloves, and a visor. I was fine except for my left hand, which was pretty numb when I finished. My body tends to run hot so take my input for what it is worth.

Running gloves, head/ear wrap, compression tights, long sleeve tech shirt and running jacket. Will this wimpy Florida girl survive her 5k on Thursday? BTW - weather forecast is all over the place. Yesterday they were saying Thursday's lows would be in the 30s. Today they're saying 40s. At this point, I'm just going to wake up on Thanksgiving morning and turn on the weather...

This is a great idea!

I am running to Dick's Sporting Goods after work tonight to see if they're carrying them in store down here. Online they have all kinds of options. Better planning and I could have ordered this all from amazon. Prime is the best!
