Same thing - 3 days of running ( including our local thanksgiving day race) with long run of at least 8 miles, and 3 days of strength training.
2. How did your workouts go last week? Anything you want AW?
Last week's workouts went well, I got all of my workouts in despite a hectic week. I do have AW this week - I worked out during my lunch break at work last, which for whatever reason is super embarrassing for me.
3. How are you feeling? Any injuries etc? I feel great! No injuries, knock on wood. I think I have to credit the increase in strength training for that.
Bonus question- do you have any fitness related confessions? During my long run on Saturday my running buddy and I encountered a dog. It was behind a fence, but for a moment it looked like it was going to make it over the fence. I took off sprinting, I was running for a few seconds before it occurred to me to make sure she was with me, or wasn't being chomped to bits. We laughed about it after the fact, but I feel a little shitty about it. I think I would not be great partner during the zombie apocalypse.

I don't have all these answers yet, but my PP appt is December 4th and I'm hoping to get cleared for exercise then so I cannot WAIT to post in here. I've started cleaning up my diet already, and I've got a plan for workouts.
I'm going to actually start light running on December 1st because I feel so good. But I'll be running Tues/Thurs/Sat/Sun, taking a hot yoga class on Wednesday. After running on those days, I'll do small strength training workouts at the gym, like 20 minutes apiece.
Goals: Country Music Half marathon in Nashville in April and the Broad Street Run (10 mile) in May.

I entered the drawing for the Nike women's half, but if I don't get in I'm coming to Nashville.
yep, that just happened. I totally invited myself to your race.
2. How did your workouts go last week? Anything you want AW? I got to decrease reps and increase weight again. I haven't plateaued on any weight levels yet, so I just keep adding.
3. How are you feeling? Any injuries etc? No injuries or soreness, but feeling much more energetic and stronger than usual. Really pleased!

I stepped on the scale at the gym and it said I was 2.5 kilos heavier than I was when started the program. I'm trying not to freak out too much, but that makes me about 15lbs away from my target weight. I'm feeling better overall, and my clothes are fitting better, and I know I'm replacing fat with muscle, but it's still really hard for me to see that number (especially since it is going in the wrong direction)and be completely OK with it.

I'm doing a Turkey Trot too. I feel semi prepared. I forced myself to go running in 25 degree weather yesterday to practice and it wasn't as bad as I thought.
I've been lazy this week. Yesterday's run was my only exercise.
I'm going to do more at home strength training this week.
1. What' is your workout plan for this week? Run 2-3 times. Walk a lot. Try to fit in some yoga.
2. How did your workouts go last week? Anything you want AW? Not bad, but I had to walk part of my runs bc I had a cold and was fatigued. I'm running my first 5K on Sunday!!
3. How are you feeling? Any injuries etc? I have some calf pain from running + crazy wedding dancing in heels. Wearing a compression sleeve last night and tonight will help.
I'm also getting tired running sooner. Part of it is that I had a cold and I think I need to switch up my route. I'm getting bored.
Bonus question- do you have any fitness related confessions? My running playlist consists of Taylor Swift, Mumford and Sons and Bruce Springsteen. So random.

Whooo hoooo!! I'm so excited for you! You will completely rock it. I hope your calf feels better soon.

1. What' is your workout plan for this week?
Hopefully 20 miles and a little lifting. Trying to ease back into the weights.
2. How did your workouts go last week? Anything you want AW?
I actually lifted! I did barbell squats and o.h. presses. My gym got all new Olympic platforms since the last time I lifted free weights and they are awesome. I ran in the 10 degree windchill outside yesterday. I always feel b.a. when I conquer the weather.
3. How are you feeling? Any injuries etc?
Overwhelmed with work. I am not sure I can justify running tonight after the kids go to bed. I figure if I push through and work tonight I will have more time tomorrow and Wednesday though.
Bonus question- do you have any fitness related confessions?
hmmm not really this week.
skwcm80 I work out most days over lunch. And a LOT of my co-workers do. It's awkward to see them in the gym in their sweaty clothes and vice versa. And I am always embarrassed when people say they saw me running outside on there way to get lunch. I don't know why I do, but I just do. I'm proud of my own accomplishments, but I hate talking about it in person because I feel like I am bragging.

Great job with the lifting!
I don't mind talking about my accomplishments (AW much), I just get scared that "real runners" will see me and make fun of my form or something else completely ridiculous. I need to get over it for sure in time for umpcoming training.

1. What is your workout plan for this week? I want to run 4 or 5 days this week since I have a few extra days off.
2. How did your workouts go last week? Anything you want AW? Last week was a pretty light week. Nothing really to AW.
3. How are you feeling? Any injuries etc? I'm feeling good. Pretty tired, lately, though. No injuries except for some upper back pain between my shoulder blases.
Bonus question- do you have any fitness related confessions? Not this week. I'm boring.
