How would you style it? Wedding is in a on-campus college chapel, dinner to follow, then the girls are taking the bride out for dessert and drinks. Southern college town that prides itself on dressing up.
I had thought nude pumps and gold necklace and might carry a white blazer in case I get cold, but it seems kind of boring. Ideas?
What about strappy metallic heels and chunky turquoise earrings (or a necklace, if that's more your thing)? Throw a bangle on, too.
PS - If you are in Oxford, hit up Turqoyz on the Square for jewelry - nothing's over $25 and they have the most fabulous jewelry on the planet, period the end. This board would die if they all had access to it.
I think pulling in bangles that match the colors in the dress would be a great idea - or really, any of the ideas that pps have mentioned. But, really, that dress makes such a statement on it's own, that I am inclined to say your styling ideas are great as is.
Guilty as charged - Ole Miss grad! I thought if anyone knew Oxford they would figure it out I had forgotten about Turquoyz. Used to go there lots. That is definitely what I'll do. I'm sure they will have some suggestions too if I take a pic of the dress.
Thanks everyone! Glad I wasn't too far off base! I rarely wear bracelets so I hadn't thought of that. I may do those instead of the necklace depending on what I find tomorrow.
Is it ok to wear the white blazer at the rehearsal if I do get cold? I know it's not the actual wedding - I'm just so paranoid about white/wedding. Considering my MIL and her sis wore white floor-length dresses to my wedding... ^o)
