Ouch. I'm so sore! I know I'm nowhere near my peak fitness level, but I've really been focusing on strength training during my recovery from this knee surgery. I started NROLFW yesterday, and thought I was in decent shape, but man was I wrong!
I hurt in places I forgot I had muscles. I feel like I felt after day 1 of P90X back in 2008 - but the workout wasn't nearly even half as long! Please tell me this is normal and I'm not just a weakling. And please don't revoke my H&F card.
Any tips for following the program successfully? I hurt so good.

It is normal. I did that program back in 2010/11 after I finished my first marathon and wanted my muscles back!! I got bored and never made it to the final stage...I enjoy changing things up and doing more cardio than what the program suggests, and mentally I feel like 30+ minutes in the gym is just not enough. So, I'm not the person to take advice from, but there are women who completed it successfully. I do miss feeling that strong though...
Yes! I remember thinking it wasn't too hard, but then later that night could barely walk, haha. This was after I had completed P90x too. Good job getting back in there!

Totally normal. I restarted it a few weeks ago. The first two workouts are the worst. I could barely walk at one point. But once you power through that, it's not so bad. I'm still in stage 1. I will sometimes be a little sore after a workout but never like I was after the first two.
Move as much as you can! Sitting makes the stiffness worse. And a hot Epsom salt bath helps, too.
I started NROLFW last year and remember being super sore after the first couple of workouts. Totally normal - keep going:) I am thinking of starting NROLFW back up now that my fall races are done.
