I have been trying to educate myself on better shampoo brands, and I just got Ulta's catalog with shampoos on sale. I will pick up a Nature's Gate shampoo, but am also looking for other recommendations.
FWIW, I have thick hair and lots of hair, a bit wavy but mostly straight. Dry hair too. Can you recommend some good ones for me to try?
Brands on sale are: - Redken - Matrix - Joico - Brocato - AG Haircare - ABBA - Bonacure - Kenra - Bed Head - Big Sexy Hair - Rusk - Wella - Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Oil
Is this for the liter sale? I got a mailer about it, but when I tried to look for it on their current online ad, I didn't see anything.
I'm going to pick up the AG Colour Saver shamp/cond. It's sulfate free and I've used it in the past and loved it. I have dry, thick shoulder length hair. Naturally wavy, I switch up wearing it wavy with mouse or blow-out/flat iron
I have thick, coarse, curly/wavy hair that is highlighted and SO dry right now. I like the ABBA moisture line pretty well. I think I'm going to pick some during the sale.

Redken All Soft! I have blonde hair that's prone to being greasy at the roots and dry on the ends. I've been using this for almost five years now - I used to switch back and forth but have no need to with this. It's amazing. Very good for dry, coarse hair.
Do you have a Deva salon near you? Mine puts Deva liters on sale in June and December for 20% off. They have a ton of Deva clients and do this to keep them.
OP, I've used Joico Reconstruct in the Summer since it has keratin. It does have sulfates though. I use that on pool days. I have a ton of fine hair that can be oily or dry depending on the day. I use Alterna Caviar Volumizing regularly and love it. My Mom uses their moisture formula on her thick, wavy hair and there is a noticeable difference. Her hair is really dry due to coloring and her age.
I've used Joico Moisture Recovery and Intense Hydrator and I love it.
I sometimes switch to a different brand (one that's usually on sale that I can get at CVS) but I always go back to Joico.
Ooo, this sounds intriuging! Is it sulfate-free and/or good for colored hair?
I use their Color Endurance. It's great for fading but seems to build up on my hair over time. For color my favorite is Goldwell Dual Sensories- awesome stuff. That's not included in the sale, so I'll probably pick up some of the AG which is also good.
Tea Tree is marketed to oily sclap and oily dandruff customers. It is great stuff, my teenaged son uses it. He has a ridiculous head of medium textured wavy hair unlike his mom's fine hair.
For the OP: My niece has your hair, she like the Redken Butter Treat as a conditioner. It's amazing.
