I know it's going to be slow around here tonight/tomorrow but I figured anyone bored would still be here.
Anyways I am a stomach sleeper and I am finding it hard to find a position to sleep in if I'm not on my stomach. how do you sleep if you are/were a stomach sleeper?
Is it ok at 13 weeks to be sleeping on my back? I am trying to avoid that too. But I am just not a side sleeper.
I lay on my side in bed to read and stuff and that's fine, it's the falling asleep that sucks. Is it okay if I wake up on my stomach, if I fall asleep on my side?
My midwife said that it's fine to sleep on your back for as long as you're comfortable. I'm still mostly comfortable on my back at almost 23 weeks, though I think it's been contributing to my sciatica.
As for side sleeping, you might try a body pillow or pregnancy pillow. I tried a snoogle and didn't like it, but just a normal body pillow has been working fine. Until then, try sleeping with a smaller pillow (a neck pillow or travel pillow works great) between your knees to keep your hips aligned, and try bending your knees so you're in a semi-curled-up position.

I grabbed a couch pillow and I will see if this helps thanx.
If you are comfortable sleeping on your stomach, you can still do it. I'm almost 20 weeks and I still end up on my stomach. The baby is protected by the amniotic sac, so you won't squish baby. I like to lay on my stomach with one knee brought up to the side so that I have a little extra space for the belly and am slightly tilted to the side.

Pillows. Lots of pillows. I put some behind me, between my knees, and have a squishy one to hug to help support my top shoulder and arm. I love my snoogle too, but like bricco sometimes need a bit more between my knees.
Eta: DH has been in the guest room for a while now. Rolling over is a very uncomfortable ordeal. Plus I have all my pillows.
I wake up on my back often and lay on in some when I'm reading/watching tv to give my hips a break. I'll start to feel "off" and know it is time to move.
I am a side sleeper but sometimes I still sleep on my stomach even though my belly is pretty big, I just kinda lean on one hip. Back is fine until 20ish weeks and even then you just need to prop yourself a bit higher and it works. I have horrible RLS and just flip flop all night long, lol
