We have a camelbak MULE we love for mtn biking. We actually just bought a second (newer) version so no one has to use the crappy off brand pack we have.
A Garmin/GPS-of-some-sort would be a good option too. But price check to REI, I know they have good Garmin deals right now.
Or a bunch of smaller stuff...? I love my SPIbelt + Nathan handheld + socks + compression + whatever else you can think of?
Not heavy. It's a really nice wind jacket. I wear mine down to freezing on the road with some base layers on underneath. Below freezing, I wear a thermal jacket.
It doesn't have to be, but that tends to be what I get the most use from.
Gotcha. I'd be tempted to get a fancy new garmin, but I also run pretty much exclusively so that would be the most useful. The cycling jacket options look nice!
Ok, I ended up getting: - some thermal/windbreaker shell pants for biking or running - a camelbak - a cycling jersey - a regular shirt - a 3 pack of camis
I decided to go with pants over a jacket because I already have a serviceable jacket.
