He's my baby brother therefore he is a boy not a man! He might only be 26. I think 27 though. Hey I have a lot of siblings to keep track of ages
Anyway I got him in our sibling secret santa thingy and now I need to buy him a gift for about $70.
but what? He's kind of eclectic and isn't really into things like clothes. I mean he does wear them. But he's hard to shop for. He loves books, especially Neil Gaiman, Pratchett etc. Sci-fi/fantasy. but I feel like he probably has them all? He is arty and does graphic design/tech support for work.
He used to be into some kind of martial art, the one where you do back flips and it's kind of "dancey" but I don't think he has for a while now.
He is probably one of the coolest and most interesting people I know yet why can't I think of a gift?
aaaaaah
He did recently buy a house with his girlfriend but who gives house type gifts for Christmas? like a set of sheets? lol. What a fun Christmas morning gift to open..
Since I'm at work and nobody else is I will just spam the forum all day!
Anything from ThinkGeek! It sounds like it would be right up his alley. AND, they have a ton of stuff on sale, AND they have an extra 20% off right now. Though you have to spend $75 for free shipping.
Well, before reading your post I was going to say something video game-y but doesn't sound like your brother is like my brother and in-law and husband who are all butt crazy over the ps4. So I can just buy a controller for one, a ps4 camera for another. And so forth. Good luck!
I recommend anything by Neil Stephenson. The baroque cycle is awesome. As is anathem.
I'm pretty sure he's probably read all of these because I think he bought one for my H one year! unless he has come out with something very recently...
I'm thinking maybe a bottle of whiskey might be good. Maybe some unusual cooking spices or something... I'd buy a book voucher for somewhere but that seems so impersonal/a cop out.
I looked on thinkgeek but nothing is jumping out at me...

if you haven't looked them up already, they are soapstone cut into ice cube shapes that you chill and put in the glass to keep the whiskey at a good temperature without watering it down. They look neat too.
My stepdad got a few sets of whiskey stones last year! He said there really neat.
really "neat" hahaha!
I do think though that he drinks whiskey & coke, which means he probably doesn't like the taste of whiskey too much lol. Meaning diluting with ice would actually be desired?

My first thought was also video games, but that sounds like a no-go. Does he like any classic books by Tolkien and the like? If it's not too much effort, maybe go to a second-hand bookshop and find an early edition of one of his favorites (gently used of course). Or a nice Sake set. Sake is awesome.
