Hello everybody, I'm new to this board and mostly post on SO.
i have been wanting to try clean eating and I just bought the book "It Starts with Food".
i was thinking about for breakfast I would make overnight oats. Do you guys have any recommendation of what type of milk I should use. I was thinking unsweetened almond milk (I haven't read the book yet, so I don't know if that is considered clean).
i was thinking I would make the oats at home. Go to work and heat them in the microwave and then add a spoonful of almond butter and 1/8 cup chopped walnuts.
Does that sound like a good breakfast? I'm difficult because I don't really like breakfast foods and I can't stand eggs, other than hard boiled.

I would definitely read the book first.
I recently completed the whole30 (which is the program they feature It Starts with Food? I didn't read the book - just used the site - www.whole9life.com/2013/08/the-whole30-program/) There were no grains and 99% of store bought almond milks are not compliant. When I needed a milk product, I used coconut milk - the kind in the can - either in the health food aisle or with the asian food - you have to read the labels to make sure there are no nasty preservatives/additives. Most of my breakfasts were eggs. I did make these really good stuffed acorn squash a couple times. I put the acorn squash in the crock pot overnight and the saute'd sausage and apples in the morning to put in the squash. I found TONS of recipes out there on the internet for every meal of the day.
If you're not into breakfast foods, just eat other stuff for breakfast. Most of my post-WO meals (AM workouts) were things like chicken breast and sweet potato or misc leftovers.
