I'm starting to freeze meals for after the baby gets here. I don't want to be tempted to order out a lot. So far I made a frittata. What else would be good? Any good blogs about this?
I'm also going to brown some ground meat with peppers, which I can use to make tacos, taco pasta, and sloppy joes. I'm going to make a big batch of meatballs and spaghetti sauce and freeze them this week as well.

Burgers, taco meat, chili, meatballs, pizza dough. I am still making my lists & plan on starting mid January. I also plan in stocking up on some packaged fish that just bake, sweet potatoes for fries....
Stuffed shells freeze well. I make mine vegetarian but a lot of people put ground sausage or beef in them. I use a basic recipe essentially following the one on the box of jumbo shell pasta plus a little extra seasoning.
Pioneer woman's cinnamon rolls freeze nicely too if you are in a baking mood. One batch makes a number of pans - great to freeze for weekend breakfasts. I freeze them baked and iced already but would add extra icing to those you are freezing. Just reheat at 250 until warm though.
I found stocking my freezer with microwaveable veggie bags, individually wrapped chicken breasts, and pantry with easy-to-prepare starches like quinoa and couscous pretty easy to fix a meal. I'm not huge on most frozen entrees. Also stock up on eggs and string cheese and yogurt - easy sources of protein that will last a while in the fridge.
I'll rely on store bought. There are a couple stores around here that do a good job. Cheaper than take out and I have enough other things to tackle right now.
I made a lasagna last time and when we went to cook it I did it all wrong and it was still frozen in the middle. Plus the noodles that were cooked were all chewy. And I was serving it to my in-laws. It was awful. Next time I'm going to rely on others to cook for me
I've frozen squash soup, veggie soup, chili, sloppy joe and taco meat so far. I've basically been doubling up whatever big recipe I'm making to last for lunches for the week and freezing half.
I plan on doing things like DIY frozen pizzas, lasagna, pulled pork/chicken, stuffed shells, soups, etc. I'll also marinate a bunch of chicken, since we'll have a May baby, because we grill chicken for salads/sandwiches a lot in the summer.
