I'm no help because I'm going with a jogging stroller that's side by side. I need to get my ass in shape and I may be able to get a BOB Ironman Dualie for $150... Can't pass that deal up.
If you get the city select, I can sell you our bassinet attachment! We literally used it twice.
The CS is really small, IMO. I feel like the seats sit so close together. And Elias takes up the seat. Not much growing room for him, but he's a big guy. I am not totally thrilled with it, but I don't think there's a better one for my situation. lol. I think it would be great for you guys though.
I've been just not thinking about double strollers since the last time I posted then got super overwhelmed. I'm wondering what the chances are that I can just get away with not having one at all. She'll continue going to daycare while I'm on maternity leave so maybe I won't need one.
I definitely prefer the front to back ones I think. Those side by side ones seem enormous!
If we move to Sydney I'll be getting the UppaBaby Vista, but that's because it also has a piggyback board that can be attached and technically can hold 3 kids with the oldest standing up. I like the look of the second seat on the city select better and how you can configure them differently than the rumble seat on the uppababy and if I had 2 kids the price savings on the CS right now would probably sway to that one.

I was contemplating not getting one either and wearing one kid or having D walk but I go to Disneyland a lot so I think I'll need it. I have the B-Agile and I could get one of those ride on boards but she would stil have to stand the whole time...
If you want dimensions. The one I have is 26.5 inches and barely fits through lots of places and sometimes doesn't fit. I just picked the cm double to look up and it's over 3 inches wider. I personally wouldn't do any wider than the 26.5 I have and if you can find smaller I would! Looks like the cm select is a bit smaller than what I have so that is a bonus.

There is a board for the CS, as well. I have pushed four kids (at the time 6 mo, 2 yrs, 3 yrs, and 4 yrs) while carrying P in the ergo before. I had the youngest in his car seat with the attachment, one in the front seat, and two on the board. I love my CS. Eta: B is 4 and can still fit in a seat. We use it when going long distances where he will most likely fall asleep. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus

This is me. I'm so overwhelmed by the prices & sizes, that we still haven't pulled the trigger on anything yet.
We think that we're getting a BOB jogger for running (when Camille is older) and trips to the park, etc. But, I think that we may be able to get away with not having a 2nd stroller for target/mall trips. If I do have both kids by myself, I thought that I'd push Henry in the single and baby wear Camille? Am I crazy to think this?

good to know. I wish we knew if this was going to happen so I could take advantage of the holiday discounts. We don't need a fancy stroller here. The Joovy Caboose sit 'n stand serves my purposes when I need a double stroller right now.
If anyone the tri state area wants my Graco Ready2Grow sit and stand, it is yours...free. It is a good, sturdy stroller and in like-new condition. PM me and it is yours.
I'm still waiting to hear from someone about a potential free vista, but if that falls through I'm interested! I should know this week.
We have a Graco Odyssey front and back, but I am not a huge fan. It might be better for two differently aged kids. I feel like the kid that sits in the top part kind of gets the shaft.
I know this isn't helpful either, but I love our BOB Duallie. I am sad I won't get to use it until spring now
ETA: my neighbor has twins and an older toddler and I remember her talking about a lightweight tandem, and I am pretty sure she has the Joovy Caboose. They are small and lightweight:

This is what we're going to do. I'm going to get an umbrella stroller and then just wear the new baby. We hardly ever used the stroller with L, he was always in the Ergo.
We have a Phil&Ted's Explorer and I love it. It has the removable 2nd seat. I wouldn't want to carry it up and down stairs but with an elevator it would definitely be workable.

I don't think that's crazy! I just do a TON of walking and I know I'll need a double stroller. We only drive for weekend trips, etc.
I still think you should do the Stokke, mostly because Brad said no before he realized he loved it. The City Select is everywhere so they must be great!
It's pricey but my friend got this one for her littles and loves it. I saw it in action and the boys are very entertained when facing one another, looks like fun

I love the Stokke but it's over double the price of the CS so I have to say no!
