The past few days I've been feeling queasy pretty much all day. And then all of a sudden I'll start to feel super hungry, while at the same time feeling like I may throw up. So far I haven't thrown up.
Food seems to help. But lately all I can manage is peanut butter toast, plain pasta, and crackers. I'm also drinking ginger ale and sparkling water.
So, I have a few questions for you guys
1. When did morning sickness start for you? 2. Did you throw up? If so, when did that start? 3. When did morning sickness end? 4. Any tips/tricks to help deal with morning sickness?

1. When did morning sickness start for you? 2. Did you throw up? If so, when did that start? 3. When did morning sickness end? 4. Any tips/tricks to help deal with morning sickness?
1. I think the queasyness started right around 5 1/2 weeks. 2. I threw up for the first time before my first doctor's appointment - so maybe 6 weeks? 3. Never. I had brief relief from weeks 22ish through 28ish, but I tossed my cookies on the regular outside of those weeks. 4. Don't be afraid to ask for meds! I kept hearing/reading how much better it would be after first tri, so I held off on asking for meds. I was throwing up something like 10 times a day until I finally asked for Zofran at 10 weeks (I think it was 10?). Outside of that, carbs really helped (Pirates Booty in specific, for whatever reason!). Citrusy soda or ginger ale were good as well. A disclaimer: I was an extreme (and completely miserable!) case. It went away the second DS was born.
1. When did morning sickness start for you? 5 weeks 2. Did you throw up? If so, when did that start? Oh yes! A lot. I stated throwing up right away. 3. When did morning sickness end? I think by 14 weeks it was totally gone. 4. Any tips/tricks to help deal with morning sickness? Zofran! I drank an obscene amount of iced tea. It was the only way I could keep water down. I also had to snack all the time.
Mine started right around 5.5 weeks. I never threw up. It lasted around the clock until 11.5 weeks, and was totally gone by 13. I had never been motion sick in my life until getting pregnant, and that part took the longest to go away. Carbs helped me very temporarily, but cinnamon hard candy became something I ate around the clock; it would stave off the nausea for a good 15-20 minutes at a time. Nothing else ever helped, so I spent A LOT of time sleeping in my first tri!
1. When did morning sickness start for you? Around weeks 6-7 2. Did you throw up? If so, when did that start? Yes- around that time the nausea started. It was the worst in weeks 10-14. 3. When did morning sickness end? Around weeks 21-22 4. Any tips/tricks to help deal with morning sickness? Zofran and Phenergan were the only reasons I was able to function! Ginger ale and Saltines were my main foods too. Sour candy helped but not a ton.
M/a started around 5-6 weeks and went until maybe 12-13, though I do occasionally still have a touch of it. I didn't throw up very often, but did a lot of dry heaving, and had a lot of just general nausea.
What helped for me was never letting my stomach get too empty. I kept crackers by my bed and ate a few in the middle of the night, then made sure to eat a lot of small snacks and small meals trough out the day. This meant keeping snacks at work, in my purse, in the car, etc. Big meals didn't work (still don't). My nausea was also pretty bad in the evening, and H and I found that eating dinner earlier (6-6:30 instead of 7-7:30) made a HUGE difference.
First tri just eat what you can keep down. Most people find simple carbs are good --crackers, toast, dry cereal, grapes, stuff like that. Greasy food may sit well, and may not for you (didn't for me ). A lot of people, including me, have aversions to meat, especially chicken.
1. When did morning sickness start for you? At 6 weeks 2. Did you throw up? If so, when did that start? Yes, the last time I threw up was at 12 or 13 weeks. I did continue to have bouts of gagging after that but it went away around week 16 3. When did morning sickness end? Definitely gone by the 16th week 4. Any tips/tricks to help deal with morning sickness? I kept an apple next to my bed and set my alarm about 15 minutes earlier than usual. That way when I woke up I could start my day off slowly and get something in my stomach before getting out of bed. Hope it helps!
1. When did morning sickness start for you? Around 5 weeks, really kicked in bad right at 6 weeks and is still going strong. 2. Did you throw up? If so, when did that start? Yes. Multiple times a day. I would wake up in the night to throw up (still do sometimes). I couldn't keep down water so my midwife gave me Diclegis (basically rx time released b vitamin and unisom, I now take one every night) and Zofran for the really bad days. Zofran is wonderful but yes, stay on top of the constipation because once it's bad it's awful. Colace is your friend. 3. When did morning sickness end? It still hasn't although I've had a sprinkling of better days in the past week so I'm hoping I'm starting to come to the end of it. 4. Any tips/tricks to help deal with morning sickness? I drank a lot of smoothies in the early days because they were the easiest thing to throw back up. I find whatever I crave/can handle one week I can't stand the next. Also I never felt hunger, just constant nausea, but I figured out if I ate the nausea got better. So eat small meals throughout the day even if you don't think you're hungry. I've eaten a lot of nuts, fruit, granola bars, yogurt, bagels & cream cheese, boxed macaroni, baked potatoes and chicken noodle soup broth.

1. When did morning sickness start for you? Right at 5.5 weeks 2. Did you throw up? If so, when did that start? Thankfully, although I was really nauseated the whole time, I never threw up. I hate to put it this way, but after having health issues my whole childhood and again in my 20s that involved a lot of vomiting, my body has gotten really good at figuring out how not to throw up. 3. When did morning sickness end? It was mostly gone by about 18 weeks. It's starting to come back occasionally now in my 3rd tri but it's (so far) not as bad as 1st tri. 4. Any tips/tricks to help deal with morning sickness? PB&J, gum, mints, iced tea, coke, ginger ale, carbs, ice cream, Unisom/B6 at night. Unfortunately, nothing really worked for more than a week before it stopped making me feel better, so I had to keep changing up what I tried. I probably should have tried Zofran, but it didn't work for me at all when I was going through chemo, so I didn't bother trying it out this time.
1. When did morning sickness start for you? 6 weeks 2. Did you throw up? If so, when did that start? Yes, I threw up, I did a lot of gagging too. It started around 6/7 weeks. 3. When did morning sickness end? 16 weeks 4. Any tips/tricks to help deal with morning sickness? Eat when you feel that hungry, it will help with the nausea. I liked smelling lemons when I felt queezy. Keep food by your bed. I also drank a lot of water with berries and mint leaves in it. It was refreshing and the mint felt good for settling my stomach for a little bit.

1. Started around 6 weeks. 2. I threw up 3-5 times a day, throughout the day. I finally got some Zofran which helped - I still threw up at least twice a day though. And the Z' causes severe constipation. 3. Around 18 weeks. I still threw up after that, but it was more sporadic. 4. ZOFRAN. Otherwise, mint, ginger, sea sick bands, and whatever you can stomach.

1. When did morning sickness start for you? If I remember correctly, it started at about week 6.
2. Did you throw up? If so, when did that start? I started throwing up at about week 7 and continued once a week until week 16. There was one week that I threw up 4 times in one week. At one point, I threw up 3 Saturday's in a row at the exact same time. It was strange how my body was on a schedule. I also wouldn't feel any nausea Sunday-Tuesday but would wake up Wednesday mornings and feel very nauseous.
3. When did morning sickness end? I'd say around week 16-17. I threw up out of nowhere at 18.5 weeks but haven't felt any nausea since then and haven't thrown up at all.
4. Any tips/tricks to help deal with morning sickness? Eating as soon as I woke up made me feel better. If I waited too long to eat in the morning, I was screwed. Chewing mint gum and using those preggie pops also helped. I hope it passes quickly for you!

1. 5 weeks 2. Yes. It started in the middle of the 6th week and I threw up at least once a day for week 6-12 then it was every other day until 14 weeks. 3. The throwing up ended middle of 14 weeks. I'm at 16 weeks and still feel a little queasy off and on but nothing as bad as those first 14 weeks. 4. Not really. I would find something that would work and then it would stop or it wouldn't be good for me. Carbs seemed to help the most as did citrusy and sour things.
1. When did morning sickness start for you? about 7 weeks 2. Did you throw up? If so, when did that start? Yep, first it was once every other day and then about once a day. Started at about 7 weeks. 3. When did morning sickness end? 15-16 weeks. I was so pissed when I got to 12 weeks and it wasn't gone yet. I did have a couple boughts of m/s in late second tri and in the late third I'm nauscious nearly every day now. 4. Any tips/tricks to help deal with morning sickness? Don't be afraid to throw-up, it happens just be prepared. I kept a plastic bag with me at all times and had to use it once, but the assurance that I had a plan in case I needed it helped. I also used seabands and ginger candy to take the edge off. And last but not least, take the zofran. It may not help but it is worth the try! I suffered for three weeks uneccessarily before I broke down and took it. It was amazing for me!

1. Food aversions started before I even knew I was pregnant (I tested when I was two weeks late). Actual nausea kicked in at about 6 weeks and kicked my butt. 2. When I thought the nausea might be fading, I started puking. this was probably around 10 weeks. Basically any strong smells, getting too hot, being too hungry, or eating certain foods would make me pukey. At the worst though, I was only puking maybe twice a day, so it wasn't extreme. I had more dry heaving that actually productive vomiting. Dry heaving is way worse, IMO. 3. All over by 13 weeks I think. The nausea and food aversions lasted the longest, the puking only a couple of weeks and seemed to have triggers. 4. don't let yourself get hungry. If you are already hungry, you have probably waited too long. Eat whatever you can stomach. Be well rested because being tired made me more nauseated. And then just wait it out If you have really bad vomiting, definitely talk to your doctor. Mine really sucked, but I wasn't getting dehydrated and wasn't vomiting all of the time, so I didn't need meds. I also agree with whoever said not to be afraid to throw up. Once I got over the anxiety about puking, I noticed that I could puke and then go right on about my business. Otherwise, the anxiety would have me feeling more nauseated and miserable. Also, keep trying new things! I tried little hard candies and that helped, until it didn't. I tried fizzy drinks which helped a while. Cereal was my go-to food for a bit. Basically anything that worked only worked for a bit and then I had to find something new. Good luck and I hope it doesn't last too long for you. Honestly, I think I was starting to get depressed during all of that because I just didn't feel like things would ever get better. I was miserable. I swore I would never get pregnant again. I hated every person I crossed on the street. I wanted to kick my friend in the shins who had told me before that she felt so pretty and healthy during her pregnancies. (turns out she didn't mean the first tri!)
