What are you training for? Date? Last two cyclocross races this weekend.
Training plan for the week? It was going to be: Sunday: Long mtb ride, Monday: 60 minute recovery trainer ride, Tuesday: 60 minute trainer ride w/intervals, Wed.: 60 minute hard trainer ride, Thursday-Friday: Off. Sat.-Sunday Race.
I'm sick, so starting with Tuesday: Off, Wed.-Friday is questionable...
Any injuries or vents? I have a sinus infection. Ugh.
Highlights or AW's from last week? I did my first mountain bike ride on Sunday post knee surgery. Even if it was slow, it was good to get out.
What are you training for? Date? Two back to back half marathons on Dec 14th and 15th. The first one is my first trail run so I am super excited about that and the 2nd is a holiday run so I have a Santa hat and some other props to wear.
Training plan for the week? I haven't really planned anything out since Savannah. I am thinking Mon: 7; Tues: 4; Wed: off; Thurs: off; Fri: 5-6; Sat: 12
Any injuries or vents? My quads have been super tight lately and I'm not sure why since I've been foam rolling likely crazy.
Highlights or AW's from last week? Last week's Thanksgiving 10k. All my miles were under <9 with a 8:47 average and perfect negative splits. I run SO much better in the cold, it was perfect.
On 12.21 I'm doing my "graduation"race for c25k. My aw for the week is that I've managed to get back into running after several stops and starts caused by me being stupid and trying to do too much too soon.
My vent is that i stayed up way too late working and not only blew off my morning workout, but am so tired and crabby.
What are you training for? Date? Jacksonville Bank Half 12/29/13, Town of Celebration Marathon 1/26/14, possibly Albany/Snickers 3/1/14.
Training plan for the week? M:rest, T: 5 miles, W: 12 miles, Th: x-train, F: LT run, 9 miles w/4 @ 15k-HMP, S: 5 recovery, S: 18
Any injuries or vents? So far, so good. My joints have been pretty achey this past week, & I'm still having a little foot pain, but nothing too bad.
Highlights or AW's from last week? I had a great 10 miler w/5 @ tempo. I also found another pair of my discontinued shoes , so I'll officially have them for race day! Yay!!!
What are you training for? Date? BCS half this weekend!, Houston marathon 1/19, R&B half 2/9
Training plan for the week? 9, rest, rest, 8 w/ 5 tempo, 4 easy, rest, race plus some undetermined mileage
Any injuries or vents? Working around interviews is frustrating, but I'm managing. I had a rough running week last week and I'm hoping these 2 days of rest will help.
Highlights or AW's from last week? Eh, not particularly.
What are you training for? Date? Tucson Marathon on Sunday!
Training plan for the week? M: Masters + 5 miles, T: rest, W: Masters + 4 miles, R: rest, F: rest, S: 2 miles, S: marathon
Any injuries or vents: My ankle is bothering me just a touch (DD jumped on it while we were playing), and I feel like a cold is knocking at my door. BUT, I'm hoping I can hold it off until after Sunday!
Highlights or AWs from last week? New 10K PR, even though I didn't hit my goal. My watch died before I even started, the course was super hilly, and I was trying to be conservative since I was tapering. With all of that considered, I think I would have busted through my goal if the stars were aligned.

Yes! I am surprised, too, lol! I vacillate between IDGAF and OMGnervous! I'm really most excited to have a warm, Tucson weekend with my family

What are you training for? Date? NYEve 5K on 12/31, Run the Bluegrass 1/2 on 3/29/14
Training plan for the week? To just get out and run. I have been a slug the last few weeks - if I get 2 runs in a week, it's a lot. I really need to build myself up before I start really training again for my half. Signed up for the 5K to get me in gear.
Any injuries or vents? I am really bad about stretching after a race. I think it has to do with being completely out of my routine. Plus, it was so f-ing cold on Thursday, all I wanted to do was get back to my in-laws and get into a hot shower. I was hoping the 1/2 mi walk home would have been enough to keep things loose, but definitely not.
Highlights or AW's from last week? I beat my course time, but found I still have a lot of work to do if I want to conquer the KY hills
What are you training for? Date? Miami Half Marathon - first week of Feb.
Training plan for the week?
Tues-45 minute easy run
Wed-speed work
Thurs-Rest Frid-cross training Saturday- 1:15 minutes long run w/4 x 100 strides Sunday - 1:30 long run w/4 x 100 strides
Any injuries or vents? No, other than I am feeling super lazy and gross after pigging out the past week and I really don't feel like putting on my tight running shorts. Ugh.
Highlights or AW's from last week? 54:45 10K pr last Thursday! Woot!
St. Jude Memphis 1/2 Marathon--THIS SATURDAY! (my first)
Training plan for the week?
I did my last long run on Saturday. Was planning for 3 miles last night and 2-3 on Wednesday. But I have a cold So I skipped last night and I'll see how I feel tomorrow. Lots of foam rolling and stretching and sleep and water!
Any injuries or vents?
I have caught my husband's Thanksgiving cold I started feeling crummy yesterday morning and took Ziacam all day, drank tons of water, went to bed early...no dice. It is worse today. I'm home from work taking mucinex, using the neti pot, hydrating and planning a mid-day nap. Anyone have tips for getting over a cold fast? What if I don't get a run in this week--how bad would that be?
Also keeping an eye on the weather. a Wintry mix is expected Friday...chance for some ice accumulation. We have a lot of warning so I'm hoping the city treats the route well in advance. Saturday looks clear but really cold. I need to go get some tights (I only have capris) and a long sleeved shirt to wear under my St.Jude singlet.
Highlights or AW's from last week?
My long run on Saturday was my best of the entire training period. 8.25 strong miles. I didn't plan to do 8--I planned to turn around at 3 miles, making it 6. But I started talking with another person in the training group and before I knew it we were at the 4 mile turnaround. I did learn why they say don't start fast....we held a 11:15-11:30 mile for the first 4-5 and b the end it was close to 13. My goal is around a 12:30 mile on Saturday (I'm slow!).
What are you training for? Date? Napa Valley Marathon 3/2/14
Training plan for the week?
M: 1m T: 3m W: 6m Th: 3m F: 1m Sa: 9
Any injuries or vents? Just generally tired. going to try to really focus on eating well the next couple of weeks. Also, having a hard time prying myself out of bed in the mornings. Need to find my morning motivation again!
Highlights or AW's from last week? Feeling better on my runs, and liking streaking. I my muscles feel looser esp after long runs having a short, easy, mile run in between longer, harder workouts.

What are you training for?Next half is WDW Princess
Date? 2/23
Training plan for the week? I'm taking it easy this week. Just doing boxing, no running. Saturday is training kick off.
Any injuries or vents? Still sort of dealing with my shin splint and some feet issues.
Highlights or AW's from last week? Too many miles but I survived. Did all kinds of new things at Space Coast (like you're NOT supposed to do). The 2/1 pace was pretty good for me. Was sore at the end but it went away pretty quickly. Not sure I really like running with water bottles but I'm going to train with them (which was the original plan) and see how it goes as to whether or not I race with them.
What are you training for? Date? Santa 5K Dec 14 St Pete Classic 10K and 5K Jan 17 I think Best Damn 10K Feb 1 Iron Girl April 14 no idea what else yet
Training plan for the week? Sunday/Monday 5.5 miles abs and push ups Tuesday Cardio Blast DVD, pilates and yoga Wednesday 5-6 miles and yogalates Thursday lift and yoga Friday 4-6 miles and abs and push ups Sat rest or walk

Highlights or AW's from last week? Didn't die running in the NE COLD temps!
What are you training for? Date? Santa 5K Dec 14 - where is this? St Pete Classic 10K and 5K Jan 17 I think Best Damn 10K Feb 1 - I'm signed up for the 10k too! Iron Girl April 14 - I might be doing the 5k
Did you sign up for Frankenfooter yesterday when they had the great deals? I am doing to the 5k again. Doing a half in October scares me a lot. It could be awfully hot.
ETA: the rhyming was unintentional.
ETA2: I think I'll be at the Santa 5k too if it's the one on Honeymoon Island...

No I dint sign up yet. I wanted to but it seemed too far away to commit yet lol Yes santa run in hm island!!! Looks fun! I may be coming alone again lol
What are you training for? Date? Barbell Blitz, January 25th and Valentine's Day Massacre, February 15th
Training plan for the week? MTTFS, with accessory GHD work
Any injuries or vents? I continue to be sore all the time in the advanced class. As soon as one part of me is no longer sore, another part IS. It's a vicious cycle. I'm of course still the worst in my class and it's messing with my psyche. I come in last every single day and I'm using the lightest weights. It's frustrating. I'm trying really hard not to look too hard at the white board every day.
Highlights or AW's from last week? 170# back squat PR. My trainer has me laying the technical foundation for a muscle up (using rings to get the grip and movements down). This is kind of mind blowing to me. Girls who have muscle ups are still in my mind, rock stars. I can't imagine myself being one of them!
