Thanks for all the hugs yesterday afternoon, ladies. GMIL is doing slightly better, but not much. DH is preparing for the worst. According to BIL she said several times & was singing about how she is tired and ready to go home with Jesus. So... Yeah. It's been a long six months for her.
In other more exciting news: had my 36wk appt... I'm 2-3cm, 75% effaced & she said babies head is nice & low. Dr. says I need to wait until at least next week, which is 37wks.
We are currently at the women's center waiting to get a NST done - OB wanted me to have one done bc baby girl was not moving much & I was having a lot of BH.
Guess we need to pack a bag & put the car seat in!
Sorry about your GMIL. My grandfather just passed (we were not close) after being put into Hospice about a month ago and after several years really going down hill. I remember him saying many times how he was just done and ready to go. Its so hard when they get to that point and just want it all to be over
Whoa on the 2-3 cm -- hope that baby girl holds put another week! Have you been having a lot of contractions? Good luck with the NST and keep us posted.

NST went well; ultrasound looked good (plenty of fluid) (they said she has a ton of hair). A nurse came in and asked if I could feel my contractions? I was all, "uh? sometimes?" So then I hear her call my Dr. and tell her that i'm contracting every 2-3min... that made me REALLLLLLL nervous!
So they checked me again AND THAT SHIT HURT! I was SO tense, AND I was contracting... and the nurse is all "where is your cervix?" UH? LOL.. She also commented that the babies head is really low..
SO YEAH. WHOA. I was really not expecting all that.
So I tell the Dr. I work for what is going on - he brought his wife (who is also a surgeon) to help see patients bc they weren't sure if I was going to get admitted or what.. and she is all "OMG YOU ARE ALREADY DILATED AT 36 WEEKS, you need to avoid climbing stairs." which is freaking hilarious since I live in a stilt home and the only way into my house is up the stairs.. So now DH is SUPER paranoid.

That's crazy....my mom only had mild contractions until she went into active labor after her water broke. I would make sure the car seat is installed and your bags are packed!
