We rent a granny cottage on a larger property. Landlords may or may not be home. We share water and septic with the big house.
The septic system's control panel is on the outside wall next to our master bedroom. It has an alarm that can be heard for about 1/2 a mile. And it is going off. And I don't know how to reset it. And even if I did, the panel is locked. And I don't think our landlords are home.
So this means I have to listen to this alarm ALL.FREAKING.DAY

We sent a text to the LL (his preferred method of communication during working hours) and he is in meetings 3+ hours away. He will be taking care of it when he gets home tonight. At 7:30. **sigh**
I totally feel your pain. Last weekend, a box in our walk-in closet started beeping. It's not constant, but it does go off about once every half an hour. Someone came to take a look at it, but couldn't get it fixed and hasn't been able to because we have not been home during the day this week. It has been a lot of restless sleep nights.
