4 hours later we are home and safe. I picked the girls up from school and there is kind of a nasty interchange we navigate to get from one freeway to the next. H asked if she could listen to her Dora CD and I said that she needed to wait until we got through the "tricky road". 30 seconds later BAM! The traffic in front of us was coming to a brisk stop but the person behind us never stopped. Apparently we tapped the car in front of us but there was no visible damage to that car and I didn't feel that impact. I honestly started panicking a little because the car wouldn't start so i couldn't move out of the freeway traffic, the girls were SCREAMING and I could see D's carseat (rear facing) was tipped forward a little. Luckily I had my carrier with me because we stood on the side of the freeway for 40mins for the police to arrive. DH came and took the girls to the ER and a coworker, I was right by my office, came and got me and I met up with them At the hospital. We are all good. I'm really fucking sore. Really sore and have loaded up on Motrin. No hardcore muscle relaxants while nursing... So tomorrow we will start all the insurance crap. I'm kind iof nervous..DH "handles" the insurance and I don't know if our policies have good coverage, it's the only thing like that I don't oversee. Oh and my DL is expired but the officer didn't say anything. Poor H was traumatized and it was awful but graham crackers and juice from the nurse fixed everything. Dahlia just wanted TO nurse and one of the nurses said "that's so cool! That's why they are so cute!". Hey, she's a medical professional :-p. Anyways I'm rambling and my thoughts are all over the place so you get a cookie if you are following along. Oh, D was RFing a Maxi Cosi Pria 70 and H was harnessed in a Britax Frontier 90. They will ride in carseats until they can vote.
OMG Dahli, I have tears in my eyes right now and was so nervous reading this! SO glad you guys are safe! Hope none of you have any lasting issues. It must have been scary for them. Ugh car crashes are so scary for adults too. Someone crashed into the side of my car a few years ago going 65 on the freeway and I still think about it sometimes. It was the same side that Max now sits on. Scary, but everyone was fone.
Good for you for RF and BF - you are an awesome Mama! Hugs to you all. Hope the insurance process is smooth.

Thanks guys. Bring on the bosoms and hair pats. I'll take them today. I didnt think to ask for a different pain reliever. I can go get something else if I need to. They told me the stuff they gave me could get me a DUI.
Omggggggg so scary!!! I'm so sorry!!! I hate cars so much. I'm terrified of accidents! I'm so glad you're all okay! Are the girls sore or hurt at all?
I thought you could take norco's while bfing? They gave them to me in the hospital and I didn't even question it... Oops :/
Anyway so happy you're okay and I'm so sorry you guys had to go through that!
H said her head bonked a little and her throat was sore but the throat was from screaming. I noticed when we got home that D had a little mark under her chin which I think was from her sippy. I usually don't let them have those back there. My car was a mess prior to the accident..flameful amounts of projectiles.
Holy shit!! Im so so glad that you are all ok! The car stuff will be fine - most important far you're all back home tonight. I hope the Motrin works well for you and that you're resting now. Big hugs!

Oh my god, thank god you're all alright. I'm so, so sorry! That had to be traumatizing for all of you! Tons and tons of hair pats, hugs, and love. Are you home today? I hope you start feeling less sore quick. Thank god for car seats.
Oh my god oh my god. I got such anxiety reading that. I'm so so glad you are all ok. The thought of something happening to any of you makes me want to cry.
Also Jamie has the Maxi Cosi in ILs car. Glad to know it holds up
Omg, dahli! If you still need or want hugs and hair pats, they're definitely on the way. I'm glad to hear everyone is OK. When I was pregnant I threw out my back and my OB okayed a very small dose of Flexeril. I'm not sure how it works for nursing, but it's a pregnancy class B. Drugs.com says its "unknown" with breast milk. Maybe if the Motrin isn't doing it for you today this could be something to ask about. It did make me drowsy, though.

Hopefully everyone is ok. You were hit. The person that hit you most likely got cited for following too close. That insurance should cover your medical bills and car.
