I think there are a few people from CO and the other mountain states/plains that are freezing their butts off today.
First...good luck surviving! It temp actually dropped about 4 degrees in the 10 minute drive I had this morning. Gross. I'll take all the snow I can get, if it stays above 20 degrees!
Second...are you headed outside today for a run? Honestly, I want to. It was effing cold waiting for the train, but when I was cleaning off my car I was kind of sad to be going to work rather than for a run...beautiful snowy trails? I'll layer up and go just for the peaceful silence! Unfortunately, I can't. I'm in the office from 7am-5pm with an avy class from 6pm-9pm. Anyone want to go run in the snow for me?
Um, hell no. It's way too damn icy out there. And with the wind still blowing? Nope and double nope.
You're north of Denver, right?
There is virtually no wind in Denver and the roads weren't too bad this AM, tho its snowing more now. The kind of snow with baby snowflakes - it feels like downtown is in a cloud! A very cold cloud...

I am. Sounds like we got it worse than you guys did.

I think we got several more inches of snow than they did.
I'll be running inside on the treadmill or the dinky little gym track all this next week.

I have family in the Denver area, and they like to say it doesn't get cold there in the winter. I guess it's not cold compared to North Dakota, but come on. I should call them today... Lol.
We are getting the tail of the storm - not too bad, though. It's windy today, and then we'll see snow tomorrow and highs in the 30s this weekend. So, not much.

They do like to say that! I have co-workers in the Denver area and none of them owned coats until they had to come to an event in NYC.

It usually doesn't get crazy cold. I own multiple coats/layers and definitely wear them in the winter but a 60 degree day in January is not unheard of...
I like to call back to WI and brag about our great weather. Not this week.
It's insane what a difference there is in temps across the US. I'm in Florida and wore a tank top at 4:45am this morning and was still sweating profusely. I told DH if we lived in Colorado I wouldn't be going to work as I would be in bed under the warm covers all day. I was cold last night from our AC being on!
I happily ran on my TM this morning. :-) It's about zero about -25 windchill. That's with the sun out!
Plus, I work mostly outside so now that I have a treadmill I have little desire to run in super cold wind. I actually enjoy the warmth of an indoor run more too.
