I have a pretty puffy blister on the tip of my 3rd toe on one foot. I consistently blister there after long runs despite shoe and sock changes. It never really bothers me, so I just let it happen. Whatever. Except right now it is worse than it has ever been before thanks to my 17 miler this past Sunday. And I have a HM this weekend. Do I have time to pop it now and have it heal enough for Sunday?
Dammit. I popped it and now it hurts more. Hopefully it will improve over the next few days.

It'll hurt way the hell less than trying to run on it for a half. Promise.
Yeah, I think its just because the top layer of skin is now touching the raw, tender layer underneath since I drained it. I think it should (hopefully!) toughen up soon.
I would try a product called newskin. It's in a tiny little bottle at CVS and it's awesome with preventing blisters and using it while your blister heals.
