Lol this reminds me of a story my friend's mom told us. The friend is deaf and was maybe three or four years old when she would go up to older people and ask them how old they were. If they responded like "I am 70" or whatever age sounded very old to the friend, she would respond by signing, "you are going to die soon!"

Omg, lol.
I posted about this last night, but my 4 year old did this exact thing the other day. I wanted to die.
I absolutely sympathize with you. My 3 year old and 6 year old both lack a filter. It can be very awkward. A few months ago we were eating at a Chinese restaurant and our waitress had a bad front tooth. I could tell she was self conscious, so what does my 6 year old do? Asks her about it. The waitress says her tooth is sick, and she is going to have the dentist fix it. 6yo blurts out "when my tooth was sick it didn't look THAT gross". Cue me dying. But then she would.not.let.it.go! Kept saying things, staring, etc. I apologized to the waitress and had a little convo about things we think, not say. I tipped her double.
My kid has Aspergers- a congenital lack of filter- I have been where you are many a time. He keeps me humble. Some day, you'll laugh about this. Sort of.
One of the families at our adoption agency has a daughter who has cerebral palsy and is in a wheelchair. The first time Edith saw her, she loudly said "MOM, WHY DOES THAT GIRL HAVE HER MOUTH OPEN LIKE THIS?" And then she made this face:
And then I died a thousand deaths and snarl-whispered "STOP. TALKING" to her and dragged her away for a talk about hurting people's feelings.
When Daisy was about that age, she was talking to a lady at the park with a big mole on her face. Daisy says " you silly, why do you have that on your face?" The lady tries to tell her that it is a part of her face. Daisy does not accept this answer and insists she take it off her face.
Another time Daisy is talking to the school crossing guard ( preschool) who has bad teeth. Daisy very pointedly asks her " Did you not brush your teeth? Is that why they look like that? You should brush your teeth."
And not really jerky, but funny- right after she really started to talk she looks at my bald H and asks him, Daddy why did you pull all your hair out?"
