I'm debating taking an extended running break. Since I started running after having DS I haven't taken more than a week long break and even those have been rare. Mostly I just stick to the standard 1 or 2 days of rest a week and randomly taking a few extra days off. Usually after a race or when we've got a lot going on.
But I kind of hate cold weather running. I mean, I'm doing it because it's that or the treadmill but I don't love it. We got our first real layer of snow last night and this mornings run was, eh. Not to mention that DH was all hopped up about the cars and the ice, blah, blah..
So I'm thinking I'll stick it out through December but Jan/Feb I'll take a little break and do insanity. I'm just worried I'll lose momentum for the spring. But maybe it'll refresh me?
Thoughts? Also cookies to everyone who read this far!
I am LOVING my running break right now. I've been doing fitness classes and lifting and while I know starting up again will be tough, my fitness is still good. For the first time in a long time, I'm getting actually excited about starting a training cycle again.
