My boobs have been hurting quite a bit this past week. They also feel really heavy. I definitely do not want to sleep in a regular bra. Or even a sports bra. But I'd like some kind of support at night.
I don't know how big you are, so this may not work if you're quite busty, but I have been sleeping in these. They are very soft, but supportive enough to keep me flopping all over. I'm only about a C though and I don't think too much bigger would be contained. The actual store has a few more styles and colors, but they're basically the same.
They have one with no lace as well. It says one size fits all and I think that's almost accurate - I'm a 32DD and it fits fine. Not a ton of support but more than you might think.
Early in my pregnancy I wore some C9 sports bra thing from Target. I bought 3 of them and wore them for a good 6-10 weeks. It's the C9 by Champion® Womens Seamless Cami and there are a few colors that are on clearance online for $8.48. I'm currently a 40G/H and while I would never leave the house in those, they were perfect for sleeping during the first trimester.
I used ones from Motherhood that I still use now (a month after delivery). They're easy for BFing because I just pull one of the cups down. They're comfortable, not overly structured (but could probably use more structure - I'm a 34G), so sleeping in them is easy. Sears also carries them in their Two Hearts collection.
I agree w/the Target suggestion, and I actually have a couple of sleep nursing bras made by Medela (think I got them at BRU) that were like $10 a pop and are pretty comfy.
I've been wearing a cheap knock-off of the Ahhh Bra/Geenie Bra. Not something I would wear outside the house, but comfy, stretchy, and keeps everything in place while I sleep.
