i'm not as weird about visitors as i originally expected, but i've found that so far it's pretty draining.
YES. It is totally draining, even if people are only over for a little bit. The helpful people are okay, but most people want to hear how you're doing, how the baby's doing, how everyone's holding up, etc, which is the draining part. I don't really want to talk to you, I just want to sleep.
Both sets of parents and one sibiling will be over pretty much immediately. We have two guest bedrooms and bathrooms so it works out fine. And we really want the help.

My mom said she had a "rule" - visitors were required to bring diapers and perform a chore
All of my family live within 20 minutes, so we won't have anyone staying over night with us (unless I need/want my mom there) but I'll probably have everyone besides my mom and sister wait a few days before coming to visit. I have no problem with them coming to visit in the hospital after he's born.
And LOL at the IL's coming to visit. They haven't said a word about wanting to come visit and I highly doubt they ever will. The only way they'll meet E is if we come to them, which, whatever. MIL hates that I moved H away from them (which, I didn't. We made the decision together) and that I'm not a born and raised Mormon, so she don't really want anything to do with this baby and has made that very very clear.
And apparently I'm still bitter about all of that. lol. oops.

This is an awesome rule. I should have instituted that as soon as the boys were born.
