Yay!! I already told you that I'm super proud of you, but I'm saying it again. You powered through tough conditions & grabbed an amazing PR. You know I am all too familiar with training not going like it should, but you were relentless, made the best of it, and it turned into one more bad ass Kams moment. Congrats again! Enjoy that post marathon high. Amazing things are waiting for you next year. (heart)
Thank you If I can continue to improve even half the way you have, I will be happy as can be. Thanks for your sweet words today

Your capacity to improve really impresses the hell out of me.
Ya know...I am sort of surprised by it actually. I don't do anything special, I don't have the perfect diet or sleep schedule, or whatever else might be the "magic bullet". I'm still relatively new to endurance sports, and I think that I must be getting close to a plateau! Hopefully that plateau doesn't come too soon, though
I really shouldn't complain about the weather - I think it was warmer than CIM which was today, and Dallas was cancelled! But, the headwind was frustrating.
Also, I should post a course elevation map. It looks like such a constant downhill through sections that had legitimate rollers. I was so surprised (my bad for not driving the course), and I felt so indecisive about pacing. Obviously I didn't start quite slow enough because I slowed at mile 21. And there were downhills after uphills that we SO STEAP that you couldn't even enjoy them - they just hurt!
Wow!!!!I would love to improve like seven minutes on my marathon. You smashed it!
26.2 miles is a LOT of improvement just waiting to happen! You will see big gains!
thanks for the encouragement kams. My goal was 4:30 and I am so bummed I was seven minutes off. Like clseale told me though, that's why people do second marathons, for redemption. You really shaved a ton of time off your race.
