We are thinking of using the same sort of tile we used in our old bathroom, but a darker color. It has a slight pattern to it like this:
We could just get the exact same, but I'd like to see what is out there from other brands. Have you seen similar tile? I've been searching, but it's hard to find something sort of specific. I might just be looking wrong though. Thanks!
I SWEAR the other night when I was looking I couldn't find anything. I must have been tired!
I will say what I like about our original tile what it was less of a "printed on multi-color" look and more just like it was lines of glazing and non-glazed.
I haven't seen that one yet in person but we are thinking of using this tile (or a similar tile) in our bathroom when we start our reno sometime in the early spring.
We have a trip to a tile place that carries the America Orleans line planned for after the first of the year so I wouldn't be able to tell you what it looks like until then.
I've seen some similar stuff at builddirect.com. I think they have it in multiple colors/sizes. I'm thinking about using something like it in my laundry room.
I love all of them. What finish type/color) are you going to have on your cabinetry?
We considered similar flooring for our kitchen, but realized that it may have been too one-note with the color/texture of our cabinets.
I thought choosing flooring was difficult, with all of the other finishes/colors/textures to consider and all of the choices out there. Backsplashes too. I can't wait for our backsplash to to be done so that I can stop second guessing myself. We bought the same floor tile as the kitchen to put into the bathrooms, but the bathroom renos are not happening anytime soon, so I am not going to even think about the other tile/finishes for those rooms until we are ready.

I think our palette is going to be intentionally sparse. The main bath we are doing ikea high gloss white cabinet, white sink and hacking it with a butcher block countertop under it. So hopefully it will be enough interest with the different textures (gloss, wood, tile). The plan for the house in general is to start sparse and layer over time. I usually love instant gratification of having something done right away, but I think it will be really fun & rewarding this way.

That was my plan for this house, but we sort of went at the reno in a completely different order than we originally hoped to do it, and we found ourselves making decisions that all seemed to hang on some other decision (or twenty), and we had to make them sooner rather than later.
Thankfully,it is all coming together, but it was frustrating along the way when I felt forced o male decisions that I didn't feel prepared to make.
