Have any of you used one of these, and could recommend yours?
I had an appointment with my midwife today, and was telling her how I was having pains like I pulled a groin muscle or something, and sometimes it was making it painful and difficult to walk. She thought maybe my belly and all the weight was putting strain on on some nerves, causing the tightness and pain. She suggested I try a support belt, or even Kinesiology tape to create a sort of cradle for my belly, and take the stress off.
I didn't use a support belt, but I wear my belly band every day and it really helps. I've been wearing lots of dresses, so most of the time my tummy wasn't getting any support, and I could feel everything stretching and pulling and it hurt. The midwife suggested wearing my belly band every day, and it makes a huge difference for me.

Maybe I'll have to start wearing mine again. I wore it until I transitioned over to full-panel maternity pants, but I did feel like it gave me support when I was wearing it previously. I'll give that a try for a couple days and see if I seen improvement.

Like someone else said, they make sitting very uncomfortable. I got one and am returning it because I sit all day at work and the discomfort is actually worse than the pelvic pain (which is pretty incredible).
Also, I don't know if it will make you feel any better but, mine is actually improving! It was horrible weeks 22-28 and is better now. Not gone, but better. And I really thought it was only going to get worse.

After reading so much about the Gabrialla maternity belt on multiple fitness sites, I purchased one when my belly began to get uncomfortable around 24 weeks.
To put it eloquently.... It didn't do shit. I was very disappointed. I seem to be an outlier on that opion though. You may like it.

I hope it gets better... I work a desk job and when I stand up from sitting, even for a little bit, my pelvis hurts SO BAD. I walk all hunched over like a 90 year old woman. One of my legs also hurts bad in my groin area, it feels like I've pulled a muscle, but my midwife says it could be a pinched nerve. I can hardly lift it up to get dressed, put on shoes, etc.

Yep, exactly how I was feeling. My doctor just said it's normal for some people. Just our luck. I also have horrible posture at work, keeping my legs crossed, sitting on one leg, etc. It really helps to not do that but it is a HARD habit to break. And sit down to get dressed! I'm stubborn and keep almost falling. One of these days I'll take my own advice. ;-)
Looks like I'm in the minority here, but I wore one everyday from about 24 weeks (I was huge with twins) and it was a life saver. I couldn't walk much without it. I got mine at Motherhood for around $30. Worth every penny.
