My kid has decided biting my nipple with his still toothless but STRONG AS FUCK mouth and yaaaanking it like he's a robin and it's a fucking earthworm is just boatloads of hilarious fun.
I disagree.
How do I put an end to this? I like my nipples as they are. Attached to my body.

When W would bite me I would mash his head into my boob and let go when he cried. He did not like it and it worked a lot better than delatching him and setting him down (hilarious) or telling him no (super hilarious). A few people I have told think I'm a barbarian, but I read it on kellymom!
you use your loud, firm voice and say, "NO! that hurts!" then put him down. make sure knows the nursing session is way over when that happens.
IF he clamps down and doesn't let go, pull him in close so that your boob smooshes his face and he has to pop off to breathe. pulling him off will HURT.
This is what I did with DD, it worked well but ahe loved her food so having it removed was a huge punishment.

LOL @lazerus24. I thought it might get interpreted differently.
speckledfrog and frkls - Okay, I had read that and thought that sounded like a good solution, but wasn't sure if I would be a major mom asshole. He thinks "No!" is the funniest thing in the world, so this sounds like a good solution to me.
Jermys - So, so tempted. But his nose is too cute.
i woudl do the loud "no" first and try the other as a last resort. not because it's mean, but because it can be construed as hilarious. i tried it with ryan and all i could hear was all of this hysterical baby laughter coming from under my boob. the loud "no" indicates that you are extremely unhappy with this behavior and that nursing will not continue if it happens
he might be getting ready to rock a tooth. OR you could try holding him up a little higher or use more support with pillows and stuff. he could be slipping off and trying to hang on.
I hope it's not a tooth...he's too little!
I will try the extra support, thanks for the tips!
Twy sentwa! I wouldn't mash a 2 month old. I would break the latch (stick your finger in there to get him to release), take a breath, and then try again. Frkls, of course, has some good ideas as well.

LOL, I don't want this twy sentwa, take it back! Seriously though I do think it has to do with the nipple shield, which I am painstakingly trying to wean off of.

That's about the same time I started weaning off the shield. I was nervous about using it so long, but then I decided that it didn't matter and I would use it forever if I needed to. GL with transition!

I feel that exactly that way! Were you successful at weaning off of it?

I was. I didn't have a hard and set method. Mostly I would start him on it, pop him off and quickly remove it, and then let him relatch. Usually I was able to keep it off but on occasion I would put it back on. At some point I was able to start him with out. I only used it on one side, we didn't have an issue with the other. I carried it with me for weeks afterwards, though!

Good news! I haven't been super diligent about it lately, especially when my nipples hurt, because it's easier just to put it back on. I figure as long as he is nursing, so be it.

I put him down away from me when he bit. He'd get this little devious look in his eye right before, so I could usually catch him in the act. He thought it was funny when I saw "OW! NO!" but he did not think it was funny when he didn't get any milk for a few minutes. I did it as many times as necessary until he stopped.
