Would you donate dinnerware that's chipped?

The chips are obvious because of the color. I don't want to just throw it away.

I feel like it's the same as donating ripped or stained clothes.

I would. If they're badly chipped the organization you're donating to could always give them away.

Yes. I know multiple people who buy up old plates from second hand stores and make things out of them.

Sure. I would have eaten off of chipped dishes in grad school and for a few years afterward.

No. The thrift store employees just end up tossing them. You'd save a lot of hassle chucking it yourself. Sure *some* people use them for crafts, but those people are good at putting the word out they want stuff.

You could also just ask around/post on Craigslist.
