D at night until he was 20 months, I think. I finished bfing him at 2+. I bf'd him the morning of my c-section I think. He was 28 months.
The girls are still breastfeeding and breastfeeding at night. They are nearly 3.5 yrs old. I am not a fan of tandem feeding, I am pretty much like noooo--didn't always feel that way.
ETA: With some stoppage in the spring of 2010, I have pretty much been bf'ing straight through since the end of March or being of April 2008.
It's been long, long, long time. For weaning, I could say once the cold months are over or definitely by four, but who knows. Some time.
Three and a fucking half years...so far. He ditched his paci about a week ago so now he is trying to sleep with the boob in his mouth and I'm not down with that
I feel you.
We went cold turkey on pacifiers at 16 months for the girls and there was definitely a bf'ing uptick.
DS1 went for 18 months. He was still getting up 2-3 times a night to nurse so we went cold turkey because he was not going to stop on his own. DS2 is only 3 months but he seems less dependent on it than his brother so I'll probably nurse him until he self-weans. I will definitely learn from my mistakes and wean him at night in a few months if he's not STTN before then.
