Ratings were strong for Sound of Music, so they are doing another one next year. Yay! I thought Carrie was terrible but I enjoyed the medium a lot and hoped they would continue with live musicals on TV.
What musical would you like to see them do?
My vote would be for My Fair Lady. I loooooooooved that one.

yesterday, or maybe the day before, I yelled, "A PROMISE IS A PROMISE! A PROMISE!" at h because his head was higher than mine. and he GOT IT. BECAUSE I WATCH IT ALL THE TIME.
Well, the rights holders probably won't license anything that's on Broadway currently or has a successful national tour happening (Wicked, Mamma Mia, etc.) So an old school musical is probably the best bet.
My Fair Lady with Sutton Foster would be fun. They can cast a big star as Higgins since he doesn't really have to be able to sing.

True Story.
We did My Fair Lady when I was 14ish. The senior who played Higgins could not sing at all. Tone-deaf. But he was an amazing actor and could speak-sing the whole thing and it was really the best-matched part for him that ever could be in all the land.
