I have exactly one pair of "normal" pants that fit. I didn't have this problem last around with B - I fit in my clothes 3 days post partum. Ikea now 3 weeks pp and still no closer to getting in my jeans.
I hate shopping as it stands and I don't want to buy clothes two sizes larger than I used to wear - that puts me back in the same size clothes as when I was 40lbs heavier.
So those girdles work? Am I too late to hop on that train 3 weeks pp? I'm not cleared to workout and the weather is so bitterly cold we can't even do walks.
I'm feeling pretty awful about myself. I look in the mirror and it looks like my belly is flat but nothing fits.

I am one week pp with my third c-section. So far I have been wearing spanx and hipshrinx. I used both of these last time and loved how they felt when on (sooooo supportive). This time I didn't wear them until 4-5 days pp and doing so drastically decreased my pain.
You still have relaxin in your body for about 8 weeks or so-so you have plenty of time left. Also, I ordered the high rise jeggings from AE to wear in the meantime. I have about an inch to go until my pants zip :/ hopefully when the swelling goes down some.

I wear my maternity jeans. I don't know if my old clothes will ever fit again.
And sadly, I have only lost 10 lbs, so it irrationally annoys me when people say not to worry about it, because the weight will just come off when you are breastfeeding.

Mostly strappy nightgowns and tanktops. I haven't had the balls to try to put on any of my real clothes yet. Except for a dress that zips up the front because it's easy access for nursing. And that dress is now more of a tunic....Yeah, I have no useful advice. Especially because most of my maternity clothes are not super nursing friendly and I won't buy most nursing clothes because either they are too ugly or seem more complicated than I can handle.
i'm wearing the squeem right now. it seemed laughably unrealistic when i first pulled it out, but it definitely stretches a lot. and the support is EXCELLENT. my back feels soooo much better.
this did not really answer your question, lol. sorry!
How do you like this? I'm thinking about ordering one, but I'm not sure about sizing.

I will enjoy the winter in yoga pants, leggings, and maternity jeans if necessary. I am hoping by the spring, I will be down enough weight to invest in some new pieces or fit into my old ones. I did not lose the weight quickly last time, but by 6 months postpartum, I was 15 lb under my pre-baby weight. I really, really don't like buying in between clothes unless I absolutely have to. As a WAHM, I figure I don't have to be fashionable for the short term.

The day I left the hospital after my first pregnancy I was in my prepregnancy jeans. This time I'm 6 weeks PP tomorrow after my 2nd pregnancy and I'm still wearing my maternity clothes and I just bought one pair of jeans that are 2 sizes above my prepregnancy clothes. I'm hoping those and my maternity leggings will tide me over until I can hopefully ( is it a pipe dream???) fit in my old clothes again.
When not at work I live in yoga pants (I wear scrub pants at work so NBD there). I bought one pair of jeans from Old Navy in a bigger size for those times yoga pants are just not appropriate.

I'm in yoga pants right now, and will probably be in maternity clothes for a while. I will probably wear loose dresses I with leggings in public, but with nursing that's not practical right now. I can see that my clothes are hanging more loosely, but I don't have the guts to try pre-pregnancy stuff yet. My pre-pregnancy tops all seem to fit OK; the bottoms are going to be the issue.

Ok, you all are making me feel better. My biggest fear is that it's not a weight issue but my hips having spread apart enough to push this big lug out. And what if they don't go back?
I don't have leggings, but it might be worth looking at getting a couple pair. If I can find them in tall/long rise. All my tops fit fine. I sadly don't get chesty when bf. I'm maybe a C cup.

The belly/hip binder is a miracle. I'd been wearing my maternity jeans, but now I'm officially back in my pre- preg jeans at one month pp.
It took months for my belly and hips to go back after my first pregnancy. I wish I had known what a difference the binder would make in recovery, and I would have done it the first time around.
