I ordered stamps online a week ago because I hate going to the post office, especially with a baby. According to the tracking information, they were shipped via 2-day priority mail on Friday and should have been delivered on the 9th. They're still not here. I tracked them today and they're still in Dallas (I'm in San Antonio). Wtf. I need them to mail my Christmas cards, damn it!
Anyone else have a USPS story/vent they'd like to share?

this is cracking me up.
I think DS hates the post office as much as I do. The two times I've taken him there, he's cried the entire time.
My SS's package was supposed to be delivered on Monday. It still shows that it's in my local facility. USPS assures me it's been shipped and on its way, but can't tell me exactly where. WHAT THE FUCK USPS - what the hell are all of those "We now have 27 points of scanning on priority mail packages" commercials?!?!! RAGE RAGE RAGE.

I just shipped a package to my friend's mom. I just saw this morning that USPS shows it was sent a county over and "forwarded" because they attempted to deliver it to the wrong address, due to "incorrect zipcode," except I know it had the correct address on it. I'm confused over this. Its something the recipient ordered as a Christmas gift for someone, so I'm hoping that there won't be too much of a delay due to this nonsense.
Our postal worker occasionally leaves an envelope in our mailbox to buy stamps. You fill it out, leave the money, and you get your stamps the next day. You could leave a note in the future asking for the envelope. I don't know if this is done everywhere as I hadn't known I could do this until we moved into a new house.

I might be a glutton for punishment, because I completely forgot about ordering stamps online- so I just did, even though your post was centered around how USPS is screwing up your life. And yes- I'm calculating an extra 24-48 hours to get my cards done now #kidlesschumpsendingnonpiccard, WHUT?!

That is awesome! I'll have to ask my mail carrier about that.

The invitations to our work party went off campus normally, but a lot of them did not reach their destination and we don't know why because they haven't been returned to us yet.
Their new tracking system is nice, but when it says "delivered" they mean it was delivered to the post office and not your house.
Our post offices around here have the automated postage machines for shipping packages and ordering stamps--I love them and use them all the time around the holidays.
