We make my great-grandmother's raspberry pudding, which is basically jam, butter, eggs, and flour in a double boiler. It's amazing. The recipe reads like, "an egg or two," and "butter the size of your palm," and "enough flour to harden the mix." It turns out differently every year, but it's always delicious.
Anyone have any good dessert recs that do NOT contain chocolate, pecans, or walnuts?
MANY THANKS!
Does white chocolate count? Because I always have to make an egg- and nut-free dessert for a friend's kid, and she loves my white chocolate mousse. It's in the Joy of Cooking, but it's white chocolate, heavy cream, gelatine and more heavy cream. It's really easy, and I usually make a couple of fruit and chocolate sauces to go with it.
