I just switched to a Brocato Vibrastrait last month. I love it. My stylist has been using her's for years at work. It's not like any other flat iron on the market since the plates vibrate. The vibration helps it glide through hair without pulling to minimize breakage. They also keep it from touching the hair in the same place too long to avoid burning and creases. It actually cut styling time to around 10 minutes for me to get flat iron curls and my hair is halfway down my back with layers. It takes less time to touch up when I wear it straight since my blow dryer does most of that work. When I curl my hair, they last until my next wash without issue. This is huge since my fine hair almost never holds curls. They are on sale for $100 on Folica and you can get an additional percentage off by using a code. They are also on ebates for cash back.
My ghd is the only one I've ever tried that's lasted longer than 12 mos (and I've tried them all). 2.5 years, going strong! It heats up super fast and does a great job, I love it.

Still using my first Sedu, 10 years old! The plates are smooth as glass, so it never pulls my hair, and no product goop ever builds up on it. I love it so much, I bought it in 3 different sizes.
