How are you doing? Are you at the "medium alert for labor symptoms" phase too?
(This post brought to you by a fit of nesting and my body going crazy with a poop purge and some nausea. These happen once or twice a week after 8 months for me. Every time I start to think "if it is today, what do I really, really need to get done?" Sure, I know better. But it's great motivation to tackle the next task :-)
But poop purges are good right? Sure sounds better than the opposite problem...
Yes, get those tasks done. I had grand plans to set up all non-clinical functions of my office at home so I could work from home when the baby comes and have things set up so that if I am going into the office, it is only to see a patient, the one task I can not do from home. Ordered myself a new bookshelf for my papers and an iMac for home. Got my brother to pay attention for more than 20 seconds to promise me that he would help me set things up, and then bam, baby is here way early. My husband and brother put together the bookshelf and my husband picked up everything off the floor and put it on the shelves, but that's about it. The home office is still not in order the way I would've liked and the computer stuff is not set up for me to properly remote in from home.

I'm on high alert for labor symptoms, which is just making me more & more anxious for her to get here. We are going this weekend to get all the stuff I need to work easily from home. I desperately want to sleep on my stomach again. I can't believe how many times a night I have to get up and pee..and actually have to pee, not just feel like I need to. Where does all that pee come from!?

I think I'm still in denial that this is about to happen, lol
We have our birth class this weekend, and we'll pack the hospital bag after that. I have 11 more days in the office, and only 7 of them are physically IN the office (I'm working from home between Christmas and New Year's) it's getting real.
I keep on telling the baby that he/she needs to stay in until after 5:00 on January 3rd. I'll have the temp trained by then, so he/she can come any time after that.
Yes, I do realize that I have no control of when the baby comes, it just makes me feel better to be saying it like that.
I am on red alert at this point, but really excited to meet our little boy. I hope he doesn't make me wait too long!! I am also getting that "burst of energy" so hopefully that's a good sign?
My doctor says I may not even make it to next week and I'm on high alert! I've been having contractions that are painful for the past week, not so much the past two days though.
I have a feeling this baby won't come until after Christmas though. I'm just hoping he waits until after the 20th when our winter break starts just so I can go and give birth in peace without people being like OMG where is mekiakioo!!

I'm over being pregnant. I feel like my body is right there and it just needs a little nudge to get things going. It's really nice out today so I'm going to go for a walk.

High alert here too. I haven't had any real contractions, but I am having tons of B-H contractions, and I think baby has dropped. He has to stay cooking until next Saturday when my parents get here -- then he's welcome to arrive at any time. OB thinks I will go early b/c DD was early, but there are no physical signs of that just yet, so I'm not counting on an early baby.
I just finished making 18 freezer meals (not all at once, but the full batch is done now), packed my hospital bag, and got the guest room ready for my parents. I still have a few items left on my list that I need H to help me with tomorrow, but I feel like everything is almost done and we can settle into the sitting and waiting stage. Eeek!
Not as far along as some of you all but I did pack my bag today. I need this week at least because I'm training my replacement all in one week. I will work from home the first two weeks of January pending he hasn't arrived yet. My heartburn is at an all time high. I also have some pain at the top of the bump between my boobs is this normal?

I had that pain too when I had really bad hb and got sick last weekend it sucks!

Does it get better before the end or no? I had to break down and get some tums never had one before. It does suck sorry you are in pain as well.

I'm on high alert, but nothing seems to be happening, so I suspect I will still be pregnant at the end of the weekend. Most of my to do list is taken care of: presents purchased and wrapped, house decorated, baking done, freezer meals done, nursery and all other baby items ready. There are a couple of cleaning/organizing things I'd like to get done, but honestly I'm so big and my hips hurt so bad, I'm not sure I'm going to get to them until I'm not pregnant anyway. So DH and I are trying to enjoy what could very well be our last child free weekend by getting lots of sleep and just lounging.

38.5 weeks here...so high alert!
I feel like this waiting is worsse than the 2ww! Every single twinge is analyzed and reanalyzed...ugh! I've been having some contractions here and there but not too many of them in a row. My first internal exam is the week and I'm equally anxiously waiting/not wanting to know. I think I will cry if I'm zero dilated and zero effaced!!

Seriously.
Every time I get a back ache I'm all "OMG NOT BACK LABOR!!!!" But alas, it never turns out to be anything.

peeking into this thread... to see what I'll probably be experiencing in a couple weeks. Good luck to you all! The uncertainty and 4-5 week swing for delivery is maddening.
You're all inspiring me to get off my duff and finish my to do list.

I so appreciate that you get this. I feel like I'm going crazy here!!

Yes, do it now, lol! I was totally nonchalant about a few cleaning/organizing things around the house because I knew I still had time. Well now I'm so big and my hips and back hurt so much that it is difficult to impossible to get these things done and I've resigned myself to doing them after the baby arrives. So if you have anything that will require a certain level of mobility/agility, do it while you can .

Lol, this is me too. It's getting tiring honestly. Yesterday I felt a lot more wet than usual and I was starting to wonder if my water was leaking or something.
Or when I poop- I will wonder if this is it, will I be pooping a lot to prepare for labor?!
I have crazy BHs now and when I feel them frequently, I start to wonder if I should time them, but then it calms down. Yesterday it was nonstop from like 1 pm to bed time. I still have them today, all morning long. But they're not as painful as the ones I had last week so I'm kind of trying to ignore them.
Same here. I have been having some period-like cramping since Saturday, so with every cramp, I wonder "is this a contraction? Will it become one? Is this the start?" I have been getting lots of BHs as well, but nothing painful. I had all of this last time for weeks leading up to DD's birth, so I know it doesn't mean labor is imminent. It just means I'm having a baby in the next few weeks, which I already knew. I keep reminding myself of that.

I'm currently have BH (or something) that wrap around to my back. OMG. STOP IT. or turn into something more!!!

This total TMI but I'm just not feeling right today and have pooped 3 times today. When FI gets home from work I'm going to go for a walk and hope that works.
