Cash back for buying giftcards?

I noticed that on ebates and upromise most retailers exclude cashback for buying giftcards online. Is there any site that you use to get cash back? I'll be buying quite a few GCs over the next few days, and I don't want to leave $ on the table

I don't know if you have an amex blue card with 6% back on groceries, but you can buy gift cards at the grocery store and get 6% cash back that way. At least you used to be able to...not sure if they ever figured out how to close this loophole.

I buy at target when I can and use the red card for 5% off. There's also a lot of promotions right now at chain restaurants. I keep the bonus card for myself and it's usually 20-30%

We do this and also get gas points too. $1 per gallon off with x # of points.

If you are a CVS person I got what amounted to 20% back in extra bucks for buying iTunes gc's for my niece and nephews.

Then I used the extra bucks on stocking stuffers for DH and a couple things for E.

This. You can typically get a larger percentage off the giftcard purchase at cardpool than the cashback equivalent.

I used ebates just last week when buying REI gift cards and received the email stating the amount of cash being added to my account. Not sure if it was a fluke or not. It was a nice chunk of money!
