I need two new ones for our LR. The ones I currently have are 8 years old and that popcorn texture, super thick, fake shearling microfleece stuff. (Kwim? Ha).
I bought them at TJMAXX eons ago. They're starting to get faded and super pilled.
I'm not running across anything I like.
I just ask that they be warm and washable. I'm not too picky about fabric etc.
My favorite one (except that is is too warm for FL most of the time) is from Big Lots. It is some kind of faux fur-ish on one side, (but a kind of different texture), and a kind of brushed/sueded something on the other. I think it was $18.
Target had tons of throws on sale when I was there earlier this week.
My favorites are a microfleece like emoflamingo posted (I'm pretty sure it's the same brand), or a quilt my mom made. (Nothing fancy, just big squares in fun fabric. Actually you would probably like it, it's bright colors, LOL.)

I also have tons of throw blankets my favorite is a t shirt material that was a graduation gift and my next favorite is from Gordmans I think it's super soft Emma usually steals it and my next favorite is a target down throw blanket
I have a chenille knitted one I got from the Bay in Canada but I see similar ones at home sense sometimes. Warmest blanket ever and it drapes nicely - washes fine too.
I just found a cool one on zulily that is zebra print on one side and Sherpa on the other. It arrives a week from Monday (didn't pay for any rush shipping or anything), so I look forward to it being here and being my favorite.
Otherwise, favorites in our house are those easy DIY/homemade ones where you take two pieces of fleece, cut the edges around 2 inches or so and then tie them together, the knots making the blanket fringe. They are the kids' favorites this time of year.
