I've never experienced this before. I placed an order from Target and was supposed to be delivered Friday by UPS. I get home from work at nothing. So I figure I get it Saturday. Still nothing. I just tracked it and it's at my local post office! Huh? So according to UPS instead of leaving my package at the door turned it into local post office "as per senders request". Tracking says they left me a delivery note but no, he did not leave me any note on the door!! Meaning Target told UPS NOT to leave the item at my door! Is this standard for Target because of the Holidays?? Now I have to go pick it up and will probably be late for work.

I had a package from target get brought back to the post office too. It's the only time in the 4+ years that we've lived here that a carrier didn't just leave it at the door. It must be target because usps has always before left things.

I ordered a 32" TV on Black Friday and it was delivered and left on my porch in the original Samsung box. Thank goodness our neighborhood is quiet and safe.

My next door neighbors on left just left last and put the house up for sale. And the neighbors on right are really nice. Houses are pretty far enough and our neighborhood is quiet and safe as well. I have never had anything delivered ever stolen.
It's fairly common here for FEDEX (not so much UPS) to deliver to the PO and then have the PO bring it. I've also received it and never had to get it myself though.
I'm annoyed at Target shipping too. I ordered a bunch of baskets for my shelving (wasn't dragging all those through the store with a toddler, and my Target only has like 2 in stock at a time anyways) and they all came in huge boxes, one basket per box. My baby room was FULL of boxes and H was all, "WTH did you buy? That's insane!" I was like, "It's the 12 baskets we agreed I was getting for Christmas, they just appeared one box at a time, one per box, one per day."
It was annoying and a complete waste of packaging.
