jjwritergirl I rarely took my prenatals when I was pregnant with my son. I just could never remember them! This time though I've discovered the Target gummy vitamins. They're seriously like eating candy, I actually look forward to taking them.
My confession: I've been eating my face off lately, so Friday I decided to weigh myself. To my surprise I've only gained about 2lbs since I found out I was pregnant, so I treated myself to McDonald's hot cakes that morning.

I have so many shameful confessions, but I'll just stick with two. The worst one is that I'm a vegetarian that has started eating meat again, and my DH doesn't know. I've also used the excuse that I'm going to stay up for a bit in the guest room when H is ready for bed and "accidentally" fallen asleep in there so that I can have a bed all to myself.

That's a real confession . Remember when Pheobe was pregnant on friends, and wanted meat so bad, but felt guilty? So she convinced Joey to give up meat for her, to balance things out?
But don't feel bad, your body may be craving meat for the iron or protein.

That episode was one of the first things I thought of when I started craving meat, lol!
I think I've had lunch meat at least once a week from restaurants. Somehow it seems non-threatening if served by someone else.
Oh, and half the time I'm skipping my prenatal. This I feel guilty about.
My doc said that's fine. I take mine every other day or so. I've had a few deli sandwiches too. At least we're not smoking and binge drinking.
my doc said its fine too as long as you eat a well balanced diet. He said that the folic acid is important in the first 6 weeks of pregnancy for development but since I hadn't been taking prenatals before getting pregnant that I kind of missed the window. Oh well. After that, I started puking every time I took it and never got back into it.
I don't have any real cravings and am not eating much more than I used to...But I am so ready for a beautiful glass of red wine and maybe some foie gras. Man Christmas is a difficult time since I cannot eat most of the traditional foods here and cannot partake in the wine and champagne. so sad.
If I've had a particularly nauseous day, after work I'll head across the street to Panera and eat a toasted asiago cheese bagel. I fear gaining a reputation as the Lonely Bagel Eater.
My only cravings thus far have been milk, citrus, and fast food.
I put down almost an entire bag of Hershey's Kisses in about three days. By myself. They were supposed to be for both of us…but I guess grabbing 3-4 every time I walked in the kitchen meant there weren't many left over for H.
At least you bought them with the intention of sharing. I just keep the whole bag next to me while DH is at work and easily eat a bag in 2 days, maybe 3 if I get a few naps in.
While pregnant I ate a shameful amount of cheese fries from Outback. It was delightful. Now I want cheese fries since I'm thinking about it, ha.
