At a cookie exchange party today, I only took a bite of each tasting cookie (7 total) so I didn't look like a pig but devoured the remainder on my drive home!

I haven't hid anything from MH- he made fun of me earlier at week for all the sugar I've consumed in the last 9 months. He said something along the lines of "you've eaten more sugar in the last 9 months then I've seen you eat in 9 years." He's probably right. He constantly makes fun of how much food I can put away- not in mean manner, mostly because before I was pregnant I was very conscious of portion size.. Now? Who cares. I'll eat it all.
I put down almost an entire bag of Hershey's Kisses in about three days. By myself. They were supposed to be for both of us…but I guess grabbing 3-4 every time I walked in the kitchen meant there weren't many left over for H.

my secret is that I secretly enjoy the nights I get to sleep by myself without H. H snores pretty bad, and i've had horrible insomnia the whole pregnancy, so i've been either sleeping in the guest room or on our amazing new sectional couch in the living room about 3-4 nights a week. I usually start sleeping in our room since I go to bed so freaking early but if H wakes me up in the middle of the night with his snoring I go to the guest room or the couch. I hate admitting how much i love sleeping in peace and quiet but it's wonderful. it's not something that will continue after the baby is here because H is really against us sleeping separately, but he hasn't said anything about it since he knows i've been sleeping so miserably this whole pregnancy.

I'm glad you guys have done these confessions. I have had an outrageous sugar addiction throughout this pregnancy. I have to have some kind of chocolate or sweet every single day. Toblerone was my weakness last week and candy cane herseys kisses. I'm lucky I haven't gained too much weight (maybe 20lbs) but I keep worrying that the baby is going to have a terrible sweet tooth like me.
I've told myself that I have a free pass until New Year.
I eat off a buffet for lunch at work and i always take a couple desserts 'incase I don't like one.' Who am I kidding we all know they are all gone after lunch. I wasn't much of a sweets person before but now if it's got chocolate on it or in it I NEED IT!
I'm happy to learn I'm not the only one on a sugar binge. I seriously can't get enough, and want ALL THE SUGARY THINGS.
Candy, chocolate, cereal, donuts, cupcakes, you name it. I've always likes sweets, but never ate this much before. How I passed my GD test, I don't know.

Yummmm, sweet carbs.
My choice of midwife practice has a strict diet they want you to follow...no sugar, no white flour, etc. I have grand intentions of following it, but not sure how. Pretty much everything they've listed as suggestions make my stomach turn. I've heard mixed reviews on how strict they are with you about it...we'll see at my first appointment on Thursday.
I haven't been in the mood for any sweets so far, which is very weird for me. I normally have such a sweet tooth. But I ate two loaves of cheesy bread by myself over four days. And these loaves are huge and round, not normal loaves. Poor H probably got 3 bites. But it was so good!
i've rediscovered apple juice and it's amazing. also the past few days i've started having a reese's cup with my coffee in the morning to 'get something solid in my stomach'. LOL, i'm sure toast would work just as well but once i found a leftover bag of halloween candy it was all over.

I think I may be more excited to start eating sugar again than actually meet the baby. Judge away. The constant ads for special holiday drinks and treats, along with the sweets at work and everywhere I go are killing me. I'm going to need a cookie in the hospital

Sweets have definitely not been good to me the whole pregnancy - it doesn't take much sugar to make me nauseated. I much prefer carbs.
My secret is that since I get home from work a few hours before H, I tend to have dinner as soon as I get home... then I have dinner again when he gets home. This was especially true during 2nd tri when I could NOT stop eating. Now I'm usually too tired to make two full dinners, so I usually just have a big snack, take a nap, then have a big dinner w/ H.

Ooh, and part 2. Last night I went to a play with H, and a lady needed to get past me to get to her seat. She had a rather large bottom, and I have an enormous stomach, and she could barely get past me. It was this tiny little row so I had nowhere to move to let her by, and I am sure she thought I was just being a jerk. She actually ended up ramming me with her butt and I fell into her a bit. Embarassing.
I prefer savory and spicy to sweet. My secret is that I hold my belly and waddle a little when I want special treatment in public...like for people to get out of my way in the supermarket or when I park in the pregnant moms spot.

I've always liked sweets, junk food, and carbs, but definitely limited myself before pregnancy. Now it's kind of all I have a taste for. Veggies and most healthy stuff (which I used to love) just don't sound good. So my daily diet consists of a ton of bad carbs. I also got some sort of junk food or fast food every day last week for either lunch or dinner. I'm really hoping this changes soon because I know I need to be healthier

I normally don't have a big sweet tooth, but I would stop by the drug store across the street from work to grab a bag of candy at least once a week.
My other confession is I've often gone against my one glass of wine a week rule...at least it was just one glass every few days or on a couple occasions two glasses in a night, but only once a week. Rules are meant to be bent right?

My office just received our annual homemade basket of Christmas goodies from our Utah office. I have been eating WAY more than my fair share of the goodies and I have no shame. I tell everyone they better get some before I eat it all and that if they want it to last longer, they need to move the basket further away from the pregnant lady's desk! So I feel justified in my gluttony since I've given my co-workers fair warning

I have been craving sugar, sugar and more SUGAR!! I have eaten a whole large bag of peanut M&M's in a week, I grab a little handful every time I walk through the kitchen. I also have been on a huge cereal kick...but not healthy cereal...the super sugary cereal!! I can eat 2 bowls in the morning.
