My mom has coasters on her Christmas list. I've looked at RH, PB, C&B, target, and etsy. I'm looking for something a little interesting but not too crafty or weird.
(My shopping is 95% done. My dad texted me today that did my sister and I know what mom wanted and could we just buy something for him? Thanks dad!)
The Marshall's and TJMaxx near me have next to nothing. Even Home Goods came up empty. My niece is throwing a party at my house on Saturday and I fear for her messy millenials putting drinks on my real furniture. I've been on this like it's my job.
I may swing by the local Pier One, that's a good point.
I did see some at Target but they didn't look as if they'd do the job well. The local card store had the coaster stone ones DH likes, but I need to buy a lot.
I have seen a lot of nice coasters online, but I have no idea where...I have done so much shopping/looking online that I don't recall where I have seen anything anymore.
My plain more dressy ones are from Herberger's/Bonton/Younkers whatever it's called where you live and Macy's. They're usually good for that sort of thing.
The rest of mine are from a local gift shop...so maybe check one by you.

I don't know if ikea still has them, but they used to have super cheap cork coasters that were great for parties. The kind of blend in with wood, which can be considered both a plus and a minus, but they protect much better than the disposable kind and don't break the bank.

I saw some party coasters in my hunt at RH yesterday!
I was trying to avoid going to the store but I think I'm going to have to. There's a gift shop in town (sailorgray, I got your ornaments there!) that has good stuff sometimes. Hopefully it's less crazy than going to the mall.

OMG at your dad. Your poor mom.
Our coasters have all been gifted or thrifted, so no help from me.
He used to buy his own gifts. He is TERRIBLE at gifts. He bankrolls, we shop, no one tells mom but she knows and is happy because she loves gifts. LOL
Haha, nursecramer, she has them on her Christmas list. She had new lamps, iPad case, coasters, new house numbers, knitting needle case, and a bike helmet on her list. My siblings and I all got her everything else + some other stuff, my dad is getting her house numbers, coasters, and lamps.

I guess if it works for everyone...
I was just picturing your dad being all "Hey, can you go pick out some coasters for your mom?" And her reaction to opening them on Christmas.
LOL. My sister and I have been picking up gifts "to mom, from dad" for years. When we were teens/college aged we'd make a night of it. We'd pick out, Dad would hand over the VISA and then buy us dinner. My dad is a horrid gift giver, who hates to shop, isn't up on all the "trends" so he doesn't remotely know where to find half of what she asks for. Now one of us just discusses what to buy and gets it. Mom is thrilled, Dad looks like a hero, we all had some fun.
And yes, my Mom knows. She doesn't care. It's better than being disappointed.
I'm also like my Mom and a bit sensitive about the gifts. I want what I want and I want it just right. Esp. from H. I stress him the hell out in that regard and shopping is frustrating for him. It's a win-win all around here if we just go do it together or I order it myself.
I know it's not about the gifts, but it is to a point. Esp. after H thought a garden hose he picked up at Fleet Farm was a fabulous Christmas gift for me. You know since we had just planted a bunch of trees around our house that would need water in the spring.
