I'm in need of a camera bag and new strap for my camera before vacation. I've looked on etsy and I really like the look of the hobo type bag over the messenger bag, but either would be fine. I don't want a huge one, but I'd like to carry my camera, two additional lenses and hopefully have a bit more room for my cell and maybe a diaper and some wipes just in case. This is strictly for personal use...don't ever plan on becoming a professional photographer or anything like that where I'll be using it constantly.

I have a Jo Tote and I was really disappointed with the quality. They aren't cheap and the leather on the piping was coming off after about a month of use. Since it was a Christmas gift purchased in October, they essentially told me I was SOL because it had been too long to do anything about it. So instead, it sits in the top of my closet in it's protective bag. Not sure WHY I put it in the bag because it's pretty much ruined anyways. Sad because I love it. I have the mustard Rose tote that has the black/white houndstooth interior and I love the look, but it wasn't great quality.
I have a Kelly Moore. The quality is quite nice, but there's not a *ton* of room in there for stuff aside from my camera and lenses. (I can fit my wallet and Kindle and maybe a few other tiny carry-on items.)

I got a jo totes bag (this one: www.jototes.com/products/millie-pewter) and I love it. I was using it as my everyday bag for a while, and it was holding up really well. I took it on vacation a couple of times and I love that it looks like a normal bag.
Oh this is good to know! I'm hoping to get a purse camera bag for Christmas. I was leaning toward the Kelly Moore B-Hobo (kellymoorebag.com/womens/bhobo.html) or the Jo Totes Betsy (www.jototes.com/products/betsy-chocolate). Sounds like the Kelly Moore is worth the extra cost because I'll be using it extensively.
I like that the ends have a nice solid construction and look like a real camera lens not just a wimpy piece of webbing coming out of the fabric. I had mine for years and it still looks brand new.

I have the Kelly Moore B-Hobo. I've had it about two years and it's held up very well. Some of the newer styles are even cuter!

Awesome thanks for posting! What color do you have? I love the blue, green, and yellow but I think I'll just get the brown since it goes with more things. I like that the B-Hobo isn't too wide, can be worn over your shoulder or across your body with the longer strap, and the flap + zipper. My current bag has a flap with a snap and a zipper. I use flap and/or snap to secure the bag when I have the camera in and out and the zipper for when I'm not using it or there is bad weather. Does the flap have a magnetic closure?

I know my MIL has one that is better quality than the JoTote but I don't know what brand it is. I'll look and see if I can figure it out. It is super cute too. Epiphanie is the brand. Not sure on which style but it's hot pink.
All of mine are very non pretty Tamrac bags. I have an over the shoulder one boy / one lens bag, an over the shoulder two body / two - three lens bag, and then my roller with a ton of dividers, up to two levels, that stores all three bodies and all of my lenses, flashes, flares, batteries, chargers, etc. It also has a slot that I can put my laptop as well.
I've gotten away from taking my SLRs on fun trips, I have a Sony P&S that takes great pictures for memories. Its just too much extra stuff and I always worry about damage.
