Throw in a best/worst find of the year since we're on that kick too.
Current: I got a sample of Ahava Hibiscus and Fig lotion as my Ulta free sample. I like how thick it is and it smells so good without screaming, "Smell my lotion." It's a very unique scent I haven't really had before. I think I'm going to order the full size with my 20% off coupon.
Those Contingo cups everyone was raving about awhile back on here. I love mine. I told H to buy me one more for my stocking and I got Rubes the kid version for hers. (She's in that weird, I hate sippy straws, too little to take an open cup a lot of places).
Mrs. Meyer's cranberry cleaning products. I stocked up on the dishsoap the other day when Cartwheel had them 20%. Such a good smell and I actually like the way the dishsoap works.
Rants: I'm really annoyed at our local printshop. I ordered some new fleeces and outwear for our farm employees as Christmas gifts with our logo. I did it on the 1st Decemeber, so plenty of time to get them done. The secretary was really clueless that day, said she'd look up the logo in our file and just needed the names. I also had to remind her to take my name and phone number. I thought it was weird, but I went with it. I called to inquire about picking them up and no one seems to know what I'm talking about.
Year:
Rave: Ivory Body Wash. Love the stuff. NYX makeup Rant: I wish cleaning products would actually smell like LEMON.
Best of year Rave: Suave dry shampoo. I have been using this for several months and I LOVE it.
Worst of year Rant: Black out curtains. All of them. Can't find any attractive ones that actually make it DARK. Since getting his big boy bed, M just plays instead of napping.
Bonus rant: Philips light bulb with sensor... supposed to come on when it gets dark and turn off after 8hrs. Just stays on all the time. We bought them for both porches.
I love the Suave Dry Shampoo. It's also nice that the 2 pack is like $5.00. I just wish it was a bit better at taking the smell out of my hair. I like to use it after I've been in the barn and sometimes I get barn scented Suave...lol. I had some Oscar Blandi stuff that was great at taking the smell out but it was also $20.00 a bottle. I'll deal as I like the texture it gives my hair and leaves no weird residue.
Sorry about the lightbulbs. I wanted to try those so it's good to know. We have a yardlight that shines on certain parts of our house so anything with a sensor or timer doesn't always work right.

I love Suave dry shampoo too. I use it before going to the gym and I don't feel all greasy. Plus you can't beat the price!
have you tried PBK curtains? We just switched to some for DD's big girl room and in her afternoon sun facing room it is DARK. They are $$ but might be worth checking out.
My skin in the winter is dry.....my pregnant skin in the winter is painful. My MIL suggested Alba lotion found at Kroger (grocery store) and it is amazing. It was $8 for a decent sized bottle and using it only once a day and my skin is back to normal.
We just joined Sam's Club and I'm loving it. Great deals on produce, bread, eggs, laundry det, and litter. After 1 trip we had paid for our membership.
@justdairy , I've been working on my same bottle of Oscar Blandi for 3 years now. Yeah <blink blink>. It never runs out!
nursecramer , you haven't tried blackout liners underneath darkening curtains? That works for me.
Just liners? I didn't realize there was such a product. Do they work? I've tried several different panels that were supposed to be "blackout".
Yes, it does work, and I'm always so surprised how many people haven't heard of it, because room darkening curtains absolutely don't work, you're right! There's two ways to do this: buy the material at JoAnn's or Hobby Lobby or anywhere and make your own if you sew (I actually don't think there'd really need to be sewing involved) or there are ready-made panels of the material sold at Target, WM, BBB, everywhere. You just have to look for them. I think the most common brand of the material is Ron Loc.

@justdairy - have you tried JR Watkins soap in the lemon scent? I find theirs is pretty believable and not at all gross.
Rave - Girard's salad dressing. Particularly the sun-dried tomato and artichoke. It's amazingly tasty and I love it. (Cons: I can't stand the texture of the label and the bottle fits awkwardly in the fridge ... but I deal because the dressing is so good.)
Rant - Freaking Delta, man. After I paid the $25 to check a bag, they not only didn't enforce the carry-on limit, they BROKE MY BAG. Dammit.

Yes! I really like their lemon scent hand soap. The orange is good too. I want love their dish soap and used it for awhile but it doesn't seem to work well with our water. I feel like I can't get the grease off properly and it leaves a film. I do have some lemon Dawn that's decent too.

You do know they'll give you a new one, right? It won't be polka dotted, but it's a free new suitcase and they're always a nice brand. Every airline keeps an entire room full of new suitcases down behind the counter at baggage claim if you just go show them your suitcase. Since it's too late for that, just call the airline now and see if they can do anything.

I actually talked to them already. They would not do anything because they broke off the leg and one wheel. Apparently those aren't included in their liability policy. It's ok, though. R's going to drill out the rivets holding the bottom hardware on (legs and wheels) and I'm going to use it to hold my fabric and sewing projects. It's just another drop in the Delta unhappiness bucket at this point.
