It's hard to remember that far back - here are some of this year's highlights
-Put up closet organizer for DH -Built and installed shelves in kitchen & coat rack -replaced garage door & opener -extended length of garden fence -Fixed AC unit -Framed & hung wedding pics -Ripped out overgrown bushes and planted new front landscaping -laid 40% of garden pathway -Installed new patio (HUGE DIY job) -Finished painting stripes in hallway -Replaced old slab doors w/solid core 4-panel doors (still painting them) -Created nursery (head-to-toe redo of the room, will PIP soon)
I still want to install a new kitchen cabinet and replace our laminate countertops with granite. The kitchen facelift will probably bleed into next year though.

Bought a money pit:
CLEANED EVERYTHING Painted kitchen cabinets. Installed laminate flooring upstairs. Replaced thermostat (and furnace control unit - they fried at the same time) New carpet downstairs. New flooring in upstairs bathroom and laundry room. Painted the bathroom cabinets. Installed a new sink cabinet in the guest room. Painted guest bedroom/office, kitchen, and upstairs bathroom. Hemmed approximately 6 trillion curtains. Installed a new master closet system Painted the front door (poorly, but it's painted). New light fixture in the kitchen. Hopefully you are living somewhere else. omg.
In a rental, but i have a countdown calendar up at the house to remind our GC everyday. We hope to get a temp CO and move back and finish work as we go. It's been a fun six months
Landscaping! It's certainly not finished yet but it's a huge change.
Floors leveled in family room
New carpet in family room
Ongoing sectional issues
Asbestos abatement
New ductwork, furnace and hit water heater flue
Nearly finished decorating my living room: the card catalog came to me, built my coffee table, hung drapes, argued with h about blinds at least 6 times
This list makes me feel like such a slacker. Hopefully I can update my list on 12/31.
Hung guestroom curtains. Removed bushes from in front of sidewalk. Converted from septic to city sewer (actually happening right now). Installed new sink, d/w, countertop in kitchen. Replaced lights in kitchen. Purchased new living room chairs.
Shoot! I forgot about all the electrical we did! We had recessed lighting installed over the mantel, a ceiling fixture added to the living room and my son's room - and all the kitchen electrical brought up to code.
If all goes well, I'll add my renovated powder room to the list!
