I am fantasizing about stopping work after this week. I'm taking three days off next week for the holidays and it is going to be really hard to come back. I know that realistically I don't want to sit at home and wait for weeks on end, but some down time to get organized and rested wouldn't be bad.

::looks at self sitting in home office on work computer at 38wks 6 days:: Yep, working till the bitter end! At least I was able to start teleworking at 38 wks. It's a good way to pass the time as I'm not know for my patience!

I did the first time around and went into labor early. My advice? Plan to work until you want to work, however also plan to have bigger stuff wrapped up to a point that you can easily pass it on to someone via phone if something unexpected happens.
I am planning on it now because my only "maternity leave" is STD, so much of the 12 weeks I'm planning to take will be unpaid. Also, I work in tax and am due during our busy season. However, if I get really miserable towards the end I'm giving myself the option to go to part time/go out a week before my due date.

Yeah, I worked the day before my daughter was born last time. She was born at 37 weeks, so even if I had planned to take time off, it wouldn't have happened. I plan to work until the end this time too, but that doesn't stop me from dreaming about all the stuff I would get done at home if I had the chance (including naps).

Yes, I plan on staying until the bitter end. I'm leaving my job after I give birth, and my insurance is through my work, not my husband's, so I need to work as long as possible to avoid insurance issues. I am going to make sure that for the last month, I have everything I need to work from home in case I can't/don't want to make it in every day.
I did with my son. My boss was extremely flexible and told me to let her know when I wanted to stop. I was induced at 40w3d and I worked until the day before.

I was planning on going on mat leave at 36 weeks but I just accepted a short term job offer so I will probably work up until 39 weeks. We get a year off in Canada though, so going off early just means going back a little early. I'll still get a full 52 weeks off which I am so grateful for.
My due date is 5/10, I plan on leaving my job around mid-April. I want a couple weeks to get ready. I am going to SAH though, so I'm not taking a maternity leave, I'm just leaving.

I plan to. FMLA holds my job for 12 weeks and my boss said it's not a big deal if it's a little more than that. But I'd rather have all that time after the baby is here. We'll see if I change my mind the more miserable I get at the end :-)

I have 52 weeks too (Canada) but am still planning on working til close to the end. I have a week's vacation to take too so may end up taking that at 37 weeks then rolling into mat leave.
If it were up to my boss I would be working through the 8th of March. My due date is second week of march. I have a big conference to go to when I'm 32 weeks. I'm sure I'll be miserable! I at least booked a hotel room with a huge whirl pool tub. I plan on being done shortly after that. I'm still not sure I am going to go back.

My due date is over Spring Break (April 17). I work over Spring Break but instead of going to schools on a daily basis, I just sit in my office for 8 hours a day. I don't really see a reason to drive to work at 40 weeks pregnant, just waiting for something to happen so my current plan (as much as I can plan considering babies have their own schedules) is to make my last day Friday the 11th.
I am fearful I'll end up on bed rest, but I definitely plan to work as long as I possibly can. If I go early it will mean needing to come back to work early and I'd much rather spend that time with my babies.
I keep debating with myself. I want to work until I go into labor since I don't want to use part of my 12 weeks just sitting at home, but on the other hand I'm on my feet 7 hours a day, 5 days a week and I just don't know if I'll be able to keep doing that. I was thinking of making my last day 2/1 or maybe 2/8. I need to call and get the leave process started, but I'm waiting until my growth ultrasound tomorrow. I just don't know what I want to do though!

My leave will be unpaid, so I will be working until the end if possible. My boss still hasn't hired my long term sub yet or even done any interviews. He's kind of in denial about it. There is a maximum of 4 weeks between when I return from winter break and my due date, and this baby has been primed to come early the whole time.
I will return after 12 weeks and then finish out the school year for benefit reasons.

I'm working until 38 weeks. My initial plan was to stay until the end, but now I'm feeling crappy and the weather here is SO bad that I am happy with my decision. I'm also worried the baby will be early and I would like to have at least a few days at home pre-labour to rest.
I am working up until the end because I want to maximize my time with her when she comes. I sit at my desk all day and my office is 5 minutes away from my dr and hospital.

I am going to SAH once baby is here so I don't need to really worry about time off. I am planning in stopping at just about 38 weeks- I commute over an hour each way and don't want to get stuck in traffic/the city, etc. plus just being in the car is uncomfortable for long periods of time..
Yes, though my due date is July 12 and I have about 9-10 days of vacation that I have to use before July 1, so I'll probably take the last week of June off and some other random days in June. Plus June and July are slow so it's not like I'll be working hard or anything.
